I played the drums at an anti-war Protest in Lafayette Park across the street from the White House... There was a guy playing a marching band bass drum in the drum circle and he said to me... "I'm tired of holding this up. here... you play..." And I did! -----> on another occasion at the same protest, I played a little handheld ping pong paddle drum with Buddhist monks... They were playing a very unnatural and odd beat... I asked them why... And they said: "you have to focus your attention to play The Beat correctly... That frees your mind... It's a meditation technique..." George Bush the Father was President and the War was against Iraq the First Time... I saw Daniel Ellsberg and Dick Gregory at this protest...

And then at the rainbow gathering in Utah... I was sitting in the main Circle waiting for dinner and... I picked up a drum and started playing it... I chose to play the "Queen beat" ... Boom Boom Chick (rest) , Boom Boom Chick (rest) , Boom Boom Chick (rest) , Boom Boom Chick (rest) ... And no one was interested... No one played along... And So eventually I stopped... It seems like they always play "Jingo" by Carlos Santana... You know it... It goes: "Rainbow ya ya, whoa ya ya, whoa ya ya, whoa ya!" repeat...

Sometimes I get discouraged when it seems like I have no possibility of actually changing any Minds but... There are moments when it all seems worthwhile... Like when I met the comedian Dick Gregory and had a conversation with him at an anti-war protest... You don't get Precious Moments Like That unless you actually show up...

I was walking down the street in a black neighborhood of Washington DC and this old man was walking ahead of me... but I noticed that everyone was turning around and looking at him... So I walked a little quicker to find out who this person was that was attracting so much attention... And it was Dick Gregory...

I've had a lot of joy dating smart and powerful women... I married two of them... And we always figured out what to do with our lives by having long detailed honest conversations and then taking action.... Like the time we decided to leave Santa Clara California and move to Columbia Maryland so she could take a fancy pants government job.. And I went to college for a year studying computer programming... But then the money got tight so I went to work as a civilian designer draftsman making equipment for the Air Force.... A couple of Days ago I had a Colonoscopy (everything went well) but the day before the procedure I had to FAST, Drink a Gallon of Golytely Medicine, Wait, Worry and Dread the Future... SO... I spent the Entire day in a Meditative Trance... Since I had no Tasks... what a Perfect Opportunity to GO Deep Inside... First, I Listened to a Sermon from UUSF Church... then I Listened and Tapped to Three Tapping Sessions with Sonya Sophia... and the Day passed Quickly... and My Brother Took Me to the Hospital... and Then We went Out to Lunch afterwords... an EXCELLENT DAY!

Climate Change Statement:
“Despite all attempts to deny, conceal, gloss over or relativize the issue, the signs of climate change are here and increasingly evident. No one can ignore the fact that in recent years we have witnessed extreme weather phenomena, frequent periods of unusual heat, drought and other cries of protest,” he wrote.
Climate change will likely only get worse and ignoring it will heighten “the probability of extreme phenomena that are increasingly frequent and intense,” he wrote.

The pope paid particular attention to the disproportionate responsibility of rich countries for climate change.

“If we consider that emissions per individual in the United States are about two times greater than those of individuals living in China, and about seven times greater than the average of the poorest countries, we can state that a broad change in the irresponsible lifestyle connected with the Western model would have a significant long-term impact,” he wrote.

This is important because BOTCHED abortions can leave the woman sterile. Maybe she doesn't want a baby at age 15 but at age 22 she does.. A Botched abortion removes that option. NO Choice.
