With more and more stores requiring masks in order to enter, try to remember when smoking was first banned indoors. A lot of people were angry that they could no longer smoke wherever they wanted to smoke, and they felt that the smoking bans were a violation of their rights. Public health takes priority in public spaces.

I've had several pairs of Oakleys in the past, but it's been a long time since I've had a pair of really good quality sunglasses...and what a difference it makes! I wore them on my drive home from the mall, and I couldn't believe the difference from the cheap sunglasses I was wearing before. I've been wearing cheap ones for so long, I had forgotten what a striking difference it makes to wear quality sunglasses. I hope I haven't done too much damage to my eyes by wearing cheap ones for so many years. My vision is a mess, but hopefully my cheap sunglasses haven't contributed to that.

There's a peach tree growing right along the street a couple blocks from where I live. It's on the curb strip, so not technically on anyone's property. I've picked peaches from it in the past, but I'm always a little nervous about doing that in case it actually does belong to the nearest house. But I've been eyeing it for a while, and it's loaded with peaches, and lately I've noticed that there are peaches all over the ground underneath the tree. So today I went over there and picked as many as I could, because apparently nobody else is picking them. I hope I don't show up on someone's Nextdoor video with the caption, "Does anyone know this woman who came and picked my peaches?!?" But there are still a TON more on the tree, because I could only get the ones I could reach. There are hundreds more still on the tree, and hundreds on the ground for the possums. I hope someone else picks the rest because it makes me sad to see beautiful fruit go to waste.

Just because it’s hot OUTSIDE, I never understand why businesses want to go so far to the other extreme on the INSIDE. The a/c should be on, of course, but why must it be so uncomfortably cold?!? We have no control over the temperature of this office. It’s just blasting icy cold air. Most businesses are like this, and I’ve never understood why nobody sets the a/c to a moderate temperature instead of a deep freeze. If it’s hot enough outside that I would wear shorts and a tank top, I don’t want to require heavy winter layers while I’m INSIDE. It would be nice if I could just wear my outside clothes inside and still be comfortable. At home I don’t crank the air to a deep freeze because I want to be COMFORTABLE in my home. Comfortable means much cooler than outside, but not uncomfortably cold. I really wish businesses would do the same so people could wander in and out of places without the temperature difference being a shock to the system.

That beat that poor man to death NOT be tried for murder 1? I don’t get it. Wtf is wrong with these people? They KNEW they were being recorded! These men are NOT serving and protecting us. They are targeting people and killing them. I grew up across the street from a sheriffs deputy who became a city detective. The am on the corner was a police captain that made chief. Neither one of these men EVER fired their service weapon, let alone shot someone in the back or someone holding an object that wasn’t a gun. You had to literally point a gun at them or another to be shot. And yet, no one has an explanation. Police use to be paid a lil over min wage, unless they were in a command position. Now they make good money and yet perform like vigilantes, guys that were getting drunk in the saloon to at were rounded up to form a posse. There is so much hatred in this country that we are not going to be the utopia of freedom that so any have sought. Why don’t we shot off immigration to the NORTHERN border? Then we can declare war on those people too. Make ‘em ALL illegals. We can’t run the resorts or the farms etc without their labor, so why are they deemed illegals? Why can’t they simply apply to emigrate here? Why are they forced to either sneak in or claim asylum? Why?

So here you have swift justice where you have 5 black police officers displaying brutality against another black man. IT ONLY TOOK 20 DAYS To bring justice against these BLACK police officers, not months or years, as what has been the case where a WHITE police officer is involved. And all those other cases had a video showing the brutality to a black American citizen from non-black police officers.

We definitely still need police reform at all levels of government; WE NEED REAL REFORM in the police Dept., yet the Police Unions don’t want reform in their union contracts. they want to police under immunity. The Legislators in Congress failed to pass the George Floyd Reform Act, this is where we could have had reform at the Federal level. It may seem irresponsible to joke about such things but in the greater spectrum of the population there’s a majority of people afraid to share things that they believe in or are concerned about. If I were to run my posts by a consensus of socially responsible advisors, a lot of people would say “no no don’t share that you’ll be watched you’ll be targeted or blacklisted or killed!” I’m not kidding either, but because they often don’t really know what the consequence is, they are vague to articulate it. Some people think everything is a virus and only click the most mainstream of links...

Others may not be paranoid to that extreme, yet still fear social alienation, and/or a loss of business opportunities. So yet still they duck all controversy. Some folks are primarily concerned with their inner chi for the day, their vibe so to speak. It’s understandable, don’t dance with the devil if it’s toxic to your illusionist dependency (you could argue that we all have that a bit).

Some might portray activism as a lost cause. Particularly the whistleblowing aspect of activism is often shrugged off as the most lost of causes, because one might imagine the powers that be don’t take kindly to it. Which makes it into a creepy uncharted territory, like a cavern that no one has seen the other side of. No one can even agree on what the true powers that be are... Anything that challenges them... while seemingly easy for any coward to do online, nevertheless the irony is that many are still afraid to actually do it. So there has to be more to it than meets the eye IMO. It’s a mystery.

Most ppl are relatively innocent bystanders, whom will go on living in an individualist mindset, thinking we never had a chance to change the powers that be. I do legitimately fear that they could be right. But I’m Intrigued by the occasional movement for change, even if it merely involves online support. Joking about it may seem hypocritical, but it does allow a segway into having a conversation about contentious things, without being directly confrontational. That’s my view on it.

Sometimes it’s important for people to know your actual view. These are skeptical times. I know some that need the additional assurance of facial expressions to decide if they believe someone... which is why I think vloging is often perceived as more genuine, many prefer to see who and what everything “looks like” at a given moment. To me that sort of just shows a decline in sophisticated reading and writing skills.... but alas, I kind of do want to start vloging anyway. If it’s a modern standard expectation, then it’s probably more effective to go with it than against.

Sometimes I hesitate to write something controversial, or even just plain, verifiable facts, just because I know the cognitive dissonance of some players will cause a bigger argument than I care to participate in. For instance liberals who worship Obama or Clinton get upset when you mention the not-so-nice things they did while were in office. They call bullshit, you provide factual links, and they either defend the politician's indefensible actions, deny the facts, or claim it's irrelevant. It's difficult for me to stay calm with people that are basically irrational, hence, not bothering to post in the first place.

I used to be concerned that The "Thought Police" was going to take me away to Secret Prisons... BUT... When I Stopped Smoking Tobacco and Weed and Limited my Coffee to 3 Cups a Day... I Stopped Channeling "My Inner Chewbacca." - At One Point I was So Concerned About the White Vans Lurking In Front of My House that I Jumped in My Car and Drove to "My Secret Spot" on the Avenue of the Giants in Humboldt County... and after sitting in the woods for a while... in a place that was ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE EEL RIVER from civilization...
