The red area at the top is Lafayette Square. This is normally open to the public, but now [During the Trump Years] a tall fence at the northern end along H Street does not allow anyone into the park.

The yellow area is the normal White House security perimeter. The Old Executive Office Building is on the left, and the Treasury Department is on the right.

The orange area at the bottom is how the perimeter is being extended with new fencing to add in the Ellipse, which is normally open to the public.

The road at the bottom of the graphic is Constitution Avenue.

The barriers were put up in June, amid resurgent Black Lives Matter protests after George Floyd’s murder in May.

Another one of Donald Trump’s walls has failed to stand the test of time. Some of the extra barriers installed around the White House over the last year will be removed, the Secret Service announced on Sunday. Once again, people will be able to walk up to the fence on the North Lawn of the compound, a space which has hosted tourists and protesters alike for more than 100 years.

I Was Born in 1954. We lived Near the San Jose Airport until they Started Landing Jet Airplanes and We had to move... We went to Los Gatos in 1960. I lived there until graduation from Los Gatos High School in 1972... an Ideal Childhood... FYI: Los Gatos is about 50 miles South of San Francisco on the edge of the mountains between San Jose and Santa Cruz.

I Went to West Valley Jr. College, learned electronics drafting and got a job at System Industries in Santa Clara... I feel blessed that not only did I grow up in a great location but I also grew up at a great time. I missed the Vietnam War by ONE Year and Silicon Valley Was Hiring Like Crazy When I Needed a Job.
