There's a lot of job openings for people to be caregivers at old folks homes... We could be spending our money on medical emergency training... The Heimlich maneuver... CPR: Cardio pulmonary resuscitation... These are important skills! 

Teach people how to Cook... Plumbing... Practical Math... Reading... Writing... 

Now that I think about it... We ought to offer training for free to everyone... Man I wish I knew how to do plumbing... My Plumbing has broken down my entire life and I'm a very poor plumber...

I really wish there were a way to stop the current social media trend of telling people to kill themselves simply because they have a difference of opinion. I see it every day: there will be a heated discussion, and someone posts a comment that disagrees with the majority...and even if they are extremely polite in their wording, someone always comes back with the words "kill yourself." I realize they're just words, and the person saying those words probably doesn't see it as any different than "fuck off" or something like that. But it isn't right to tell random strangers to kill themselves over a difference of opinion. I really wish Facebook and other social media sites would put that in their algorithms somehow, so that if anyone tells anyone else to kill themself, the person will immediately get a warning or a temporary ban or something. It is NOT okay to tell someone to kill themselves just because they have a different opinion. Tell them to fuck off if you must, or better yet, just block them. But DON'T tell another person to kill themselves, no matter who they are.

And I replied:
I know a guy that killed himself... He lived on my street and went to Los Gatos High School... And then one day he drove over to West Valley Junior College, put a hose in the tailpipe of his car turned on the engine and pumped the exhaust into the car... And I know another guy that failed to kill himself... He was in a car wreck with his father's car and dreading the fact that he was going to have to tell his father that he wrecked the car... He ate all the pills in the Medicine Chest in the bathroom... And then he threw up... He called me on the phone while he was doing this and I didn't notice anything different about the conversation and how you sounded... And then later his dad was upset with me because I didn't notice that his son was dying... And ideally I would have called 911... But I didn't... And the son survived!
