We all know that Trump and his cronies are trying to devise a plan to steal the midterms. We need to come up with a counter-plan that allows multiple redundancies. Since I’m almost 72 and clearly not computer savvy, these are some suggestions:
1. Computer voting BUT ABSOLUTELY NO system that Elon Musk controls, nor any of these billionaire tech bros, with the exception of Anthropic which seems to still have a modicum of honesty. Possibly an outside computer system monitoring from a neutral country like Switzerland.
2. TWO hard copies of ballots are printed; one is deposited in the secure container and the other is kept by individual who voted.
3. Computer results should be confirmed through the hard copies. The results may take longer, but our democracy is hanging on by a thread so the results should be confirmed and reconfirmed.
4. If it still looks sketchy, every citizen who voted will have their copy of their ballot, which again can serve as a redundancy back-up.
5. Mail-in ballots should be sent CERTIFIED, with voters retaining a hard copy.
Like I said, I am old and not tech-savvy; these are only suggestions. I’m on my way out, but I will do everything I possibly can to protect my children, grandchildren and the marginalized people of this nation from the clutches of a fascist, vile pedophile POS and his cohorts.
