I believe the most important subject is climate change... Here in California, we had another summer of wildfires and people I know had their houses burned into the ground... And I believe that every summer we will have more and more and more disasters...

I believe that the climate change is caused by people driving cars and trucks that burn gasoline or diesel... And people flying in jet airplanes... More people are flying that have ever flown before... And I've heard that eating hamburgers requires vast quantities of cows... And the cows fart... Releasing methane... Somehow I can't imagine that I would ever change my diet... However I have noticed that the extreme high price of steak and hamburger has reduced my consumption dramatically... Years ago, people could afford hamburger... And a new wife was often given a book called 101 ways to prepare hamburger... Well those days are over... And now eating red meat is a luxury item for the Rich and Famous... In about once a week I do have a hamburger...
And I hardly ever drive anywhere... I'm 70 years old and retired so I don't have to drive to work everyday... And I find that going out into the world is not that interesting anymore...
My older brother still drives all over hell's half acre... And he flies in the airplanes... But the understanding of how his behavior is causing climate change and will screw up the planet for his children and his grandchildren... He just doesn't see the connection...
And there are literally millions or billions of people that are not doing anything about their lifestyle to help prevent climate change... I figure that educating the public is a worthy thing to do... So many are so clueless...

We do have earthquakes and tsunamis... But they don't happen very often... I remember three during my lifetime and I'm 70 years old... The Loma Prieta near San Jose, the World Series earthquake in Oakland and Northridge... Just north of Los Angeles...
And we have never had an actual tsunami except for Crescent City near the Oregon border... And that was a big problem for people that own boats...
My cousin owns a cabin in the woods near Santa Cruz and they had a big forest fire in the Redwood Forest but they stopped that fire before it got to people's houses... And then almost immediately there was a flood on the San Lorenzo River... But his place was not harmed by either event...
So far most of the wildfires in Northern California have been way out in the woods... Except for Paradise... And that's a big problem for the bears, the deer, spotted owls...
And I figured the real solution to climate change is to reduce the human population to about 1 billion people... Maybe 2 billion people... That means 6 billion deaths...
