DETAILS of Project 2025:

(ONE) Eliminate up to a million federal jobs

Because of the proposed deep budget cuts, elimination and privatization of agencies and programs, hiring freezes, caps on the number of personnel, and other anti-government policies, some have estimated that there would be a loss of up to a million federal jobs if Project 2025 is implemented.


(TWO) Declare public unions illegal and take away union rights

Seeking to end collective bargaining for public-sector workers, they would encourage Congress to “consider whether public-sector unions are appropriate in the first place.”

In the meantime, hundreds of thousands of employees working for TSA, DOJ, USCIS, and FEMA would have their union rights stripped away by executive action on national security grounds. For other agencies that still have contracts in place, they would reinstate Trump’s executive orders busting unions and directing agencies to renegotiate contracts to obtain the strongest possible management rights.

They would reinstate Schedule F, which seeks to reclassify any career federal employee whose job is in any way connected to federal policy. This new classification politicizes the civil service, allowing the administration to hire and fire for political reasons. More than 500,000 employees could be affected and lose their work protections as they intend to use authority that’s already in the law to target jobs they say are “of a confidential, policy-determining, policymaking or policy-advocating character”. There are 508,000 Grade 13-15 jobs in the federal government, and the number they will convert is unknown.


(THREE) Gut federal workers’ pay and benefits

They would replace the General Schedule and Wage Grade systems with a pay system that would decide raises based on occupation and how well employees carry out orders, whether legal or not. Describing federal retirement programs as overly generous, they would reduce retirement benefits to match “the market”, noting that half of private sector firms do not offer any retirement benefits. They also want to cut Social Security benefits by raising the retirement age.


(FOUR) Make it easier to discriminate against people of color, women, and LGBTQIA+ people

They would restore either IQ tests or aptitude tests or both as requirements for federal hiring, despite the fact those tests have been found to be discriminatory. They identify the absence of these tests as the “root cause” of the poor performance of federal employees generally and say no merit system can exist without these tests.

They also propose abolishing so-called “disparate impact” – adverse impact of a facially neutral requirement or process – as grounds for challenging the legitimacy of the new civil service exams.

They would prohibit DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) efforts in most agencies including VA and at the Department of Labor. They would end data collection that showed differences by race and ethnicity and rescind regulations prohibiting discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. They would also use the Department of Justice to police federal hiring government-wide to ensure that race, religion, and sex are not considered.


(FIVE) Dismantle and privatize federal agencies

Under Project 2025, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) would be eliminated, and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) would be privatized. DHS and TSA were created in response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks to coordinate our national security efforts, facilitate intelligence sharing, and prevent another terrorist attack. Both agencies have done an amazing job protecting our homeland. Bringing our country back to the pre-9/11 era is not only irresponsible but also puts all of us at risk.

The Department of Education would be eliminated and oversight of education and federal funding for education will be handed over to the states. Also being gutted are regulations prohibiting sex-based discrimination in schools and discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) would be eliminated and moved to the Department of Interior or the Department of Transportation if combined with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). The costs of disaster preparedness and response would be shifted to states and local governments.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s many regional labs and entire offices of enforcement and compliance and scientific integrity and risk information would be eliminated. This will endanger public health by giving corporations and big businesses a greenlight to pollute the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is to “privatize as much as possible” and close many hospitals and clinics. This will hurt veterans who rely on the VA’s expertise on illnesses unique to veterans. Veterans will also be talking to robots or chat bots instead of a live person when much of the Veterans Benefits Administration is automated.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) would be taken apart and send much of its work to states and other agencies – bad news for low income and working-class families who rely on its meagre assistance.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) would lose its independence and be under control of the President. They believe that DOJ decisions should “always be consistent with the President’s policy agenda and the rule of law.”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) would be drastically reduced and split into two entities: one gathering scientific data and one making public health recommendations and policies. Breaking up the CDC could hinder its ability to prevent and mitigate an outbreak. The CDC would also privatize all test development and laboratory functions and focus on providing guidance in these areas instead of “competing with the private sector.” They would move CDC’s data infrastructure and management to a public-private partnership, causing the government to lose ownership and control of the data.

Are we becoming the movie Wall-E? I've never seen it, but I understand it depicts a future in which people have become obese and helpless as robots cater to their every whim. I feel like this is happening already. If someone never wants to leave their house, they no longer have to because we can now have everything delivered. It used to be that if you needed something or wanted something, you had to put in a certain amount of physical effort to go and get it. Even if what you wanted was food, it used to be that the only food you could get delivered was pizza. Now you can get EVERYTHING delivered. Combine this with the fact that many people now work from home, and we've already got a huge number of people who simply never leave the house. Maybe they don't even leave their bed. I understand that this is great for people who are disabled, but I'm not talking about disabled people. I'm talking about people who are perfectly capable of getting up and expending the minimal amount of energy required to go and get something rather than having that thing come to them. I know I've ranted on and on about how I'd rather go get stuff than have it delivered because I don't like to pay extra for unnecessary things, so I don't want to pay extra for delivery charges or fees when I'm perfectly capable of going and getting the thing myself and saving myself from having to pay those unneccesary extra fees. But it's not just about the money. I don't like just sitting around all the time. I like having a reason to go expend a little bit of energy here and there, even if it's just to go to the store or to go pick up food. I don't want to live a life where I just lay around and have everything done for me. If I can do it myself, why wouldn't I? If I don't get out of the house at least once a day, I feel like I'm going crazy. And when it comes to shopping, I like going and finding the thing I want to buy. I know it's all available online, but there is a certain satisfaction in finding it in the wild. Those of you who are around my age or older, you remember how much fun it used to be to shop for records...and if you were looking for a rare record, how thrilling it was to finally find it. That thrill is lost now that you can just click a mouse and have whatever you want delivered to your door. It's satisfying to put in a bit of effort to get something, plus it forces you to have to get up off your bed and actually move around, and that's something that benefits all of us. Movies are another thing that used to require a slight output of energy. If you wanted to see a movie, you had to physically go to a theater to see it. But now, most movies are available to stream at home, so it's another reason you don't have to expend even a modicum of energy.

There's a reason why people were thinner in past decades. The less energy we have to expend in our daily life, the larger we become.

In Lilly's Tank the Tripper Got inside a box that was half filled with warm salty water. No Sights - Completely Dark... No Sounds - Completely Silent... and No Gravity - Your Body was Floating in water that was heated to a temperature that was almost impossible to feel... OK, That's Completely Different... 

Then Michael spoke of Two Paths to Distributing The Psychedelic Experience to the World. One Way was Timothy Leary's Plan... to have as many people as possible take LSD using a Guide and Leary's Guidebook... The other Path was Aldous Huxley's Plan... to Turn On The Elite... To share LSD with Scientists, Artists, Business Leaders, Politicians, Religious Leaders, Writers, Poets, Musicians, TV Talking Heads and Let THOSE PEOPLE rebuild Society using the knowledge they had gained from their Psychedelic Experiences...

What Michael FAILED TO MENTION was what Actually Happened in the Late Sixties and Beyond... Millions of Doses were Sold at Rock Concerts and People Danced to Loud Live Music. The Makers of "Orange Sunshine" gave away thousands of Doses at an outdoor concert where they hired an AIRPLANE to fly over the crowd and throw "Happy Birthday" Cards Out the Window... Each Card had an LSD Pill attached to it... The Brotherhood of Eternal Love was the Organization that made the Orange Sunshine. They were Laguna Beach Surfers that Started Smuggling Hashish inside of Surfboards from Mexico into the USA... Most LSD Trips were UNGUIDED and Most Happened at LOUD ROCK CONCERTS...  Of Course, a person could buy LSD and then Take it home to Trip in a wide variety of Locations... I Have Noticed a Few Trends... People that have had the Psychedelic Experience are Nice People... In General they are Kind and Relaxed. Rarely do they CHOOSE Careers in Middle Management. In Business there are always  "Corporate-Corporate-Assholes" that LOVE Supervising People... Totally Drunk on Power... and Obsessed with Making Other People OBEY... Acid Heads tend to avoid "Power Trips"... Often selecting Craft type employment where they can do excellent work on their own projects... Carpenters, Computer Programmers, Seamstresses, Bakers, Farmers etc, etc, etc... 

We also tent to be interested in Playing Music, Doing ART and Writing Poetry/Lyrics... 

My Last Trip was in the Late 1990s at an anti-war protest march at the White House in Washington DC. George H W Bush the Father was President and The USA was Defending Kuwait from an Attack by Iraq... We Marched over near the Lincoln Memorial... The Parade Permit was set to Expire at 2 O'Clock... At that time, everyone that was standing in the street was arrested and everyone standing on the sidewalk was free to do whatever we wanted... SO, hundreds of people intentionally selected to be arrested... All of us were faced with a DECISION... Go to Jail to Make a Statement or NOT... There were Police Everywhere, dressed in Nazi Boots and Riot Helmets... I voluntarily Chose to NOT Get Arrested... and Wandered Away... I did get interviewed by TV News and the Next Day my Neighbor said she saw me "Making a Jackass of Myself" on the Evening News... I told her that if She Felt I was Making a Jackass of myself, I Must Have been doing Something Right...
