I'm Going on a Hunger Strike Today. 2/14/2023 I Will Not Eat Until We Attain Whirled Peas... OR...

or My Colonoscopy is Complete... at 3 PM on 2/16.

This is going to be a Strange Experience as I'll be Fasting for 48 Hours... and I've never Gone More than a Day without Food... Mainly because I'm a "Mighty Hunter"and I Make it a Priority to Get Fed... 

Even when I was Homeless and Penniless in Chico, I was able to find the Jesus Center where they Give away Free Food Twice a Day... I enjoyed dining there because they served GREAT Food and I Got to Socialize With a Lot of Other People Just Like Me! After Dinner, Many of Us Would Ease on Down the Road to an AA Meeting where they Served FREE COFFEE and Often Cookies... Excellent!

another Excellent Dining Facility was "Food Not Bombs" - They Served in Train Depot Park... Across the Tracks from the Train Depot... 

I remember that a Friend of Mine Decided to FAST until he Met GOD... Seems like an Absurd Quest BUT... After a Couple of Days he Started Behaving Really Weird... and I Avoided Contact... When I Saw him Coming I just Walked Away Quickly... anyway... I do not think he Found GOD because a Couple of Weeks Later he started coming to AA Meetings again and NO ONE EVER MENTIONED HIS QUEST... We Were ALL Just Glad That He Had Stopped Behaving Crazy.

I just had my Last Meal... on 2/14 at 11AM... Just Like a Condemned man awaiting the Electric Chair... I was served My Favorite Lunch: Cheeseburger with Fried Onions, French Fries and Apple Juice...

I Used to Prefer Coca-Cola but Gave that up Years Ago... Pre-Diabetes makes me want to Eat a LOW SUGAR Diet...

I've Drunk Two Mira Lax Packets and Takes Zero Dumps... It's Supposed to Make You take a dump... but NO Action... Here Goes Packet #3... I'm supposed to take EIGHT before NOON Tomorrow.

On the Other Hand: I fell asleep during the Third Quarter of the Super Duper Bowl. Too Damn Boring... I was hoping to see some Interesting Advertisements... Nope... I Don't Own a Car and I Take LYFT if I Need to Go to the Doctor... I never Go Anywhere Else... Except for Walking Around the Neighborhood... The Last LYFT Ride was in a New Car With a Giant Sunroof. Wonderful. And the Driver was Playing Techno-Pop on the Radio... Endless Drum Machine, Bass, Synthesizer - Reminded me of Playing Music in the 1980s when the Price of a Synthesizer went below $1,000 and We Could Afford to Buy Them...

I would go out into the World Except There is Nowhere I Want to Go... Except the POOL... This Summer I'll Go There... 

Speaking of Pools... After this Colonoscopy is Over I'm going to Seriously Look for a Place to Live in Chico, CA... If I Had a Bicycle, I could go Swim at One Mile... and I Could Attend Dances in the Park... and Go to AA Meetings... "Mom's" was a Great Meeting but So was "Central" and The Sunday Meeting at the Campfire Council Ring was EPIC.  I might get a Tricycle... Upper Park is Excellent!

I have given up on Moving to Arcata, CA... The College has enrolled WAY more Students Than there are Places to Live... SO, That Location is Impossible... While it's an Excellent Place... It's Sold Out... 

Of Course, I could just stay here... I spend all my time PLUGGED IN to the Internet or Watching TV or BOTH at the Same Time... It's Almost Like THE MATRIX... With my Body on Life Support (Care Givers Do All Tasks, and Wake me Up for Meals) My Mind is Free to Wander... and I Write a LOT... Strangely, I Have not Written any Songs in a Year... I Guess That's One of the Symptoms of Old Age... I'm 68... I do not Smoke Marijuana, Drink Alcohol or Eat Psychedelics and So THAT FOUNTAIN of Creativity has been Shut Off... 

I just Learned that The White Album by the Beatles was Written in India with The Maharishi... SO... There is another FOUNTAIN of Creativity available thru Meditation... and I'm Exploring THAT Realm...

So Dr. Richard Alpert Went to India and Changed his Name... Seems Contrived to me... I'm Gregory Vanderlaan and if I Attain True Enlightenment I don't think that Changing my name will be a High Priority... Attaining Whirled Peas is More Important!

Time has Passed: It is Now 5:15 AM on 2/15/2023.

So far I Feel Good. I'm NOT Hungry... I Guess That's Because I've been Drinking Miralax - and That Fills Up My Stomach... I Made FIVE Mixtures of Miralax with 16 Ounces of Water... 

SO FAR, No Bowel Movements at All... Today I will Drink another FIVE Miralax Mixtures Before 3 PM. and at 6PM I'll drink Half of the PLENVU... 

I Hope this Prep Actually Cleans my Colon... However, No Matter What... This is the Last Time I'll Ever Do This. I'll Just be Happy With The Mystery... "Do I Have Colon Cancer or Do I Not?"

I wonder if this Entire Procedure is a Marketing Trick to Sell a Miracle Cure... I Question WHY The Doctor Failed to Prescribe a Prep That Actually Worked Last Time... Could it Be That he Wants to GET PAID for Performing TWO Colonoscopies?  

Is all of this a FLIM FLAM? 

If I Get Results This Time... I'll ask for a Second Opinion Before Agreeing to Treatment... 

The Last time I Had a Colonoscopy, in 2000, I don't Recall doing all this Prep... But Maybe I Did Do It... That was 22 Years Ago... I'm Glad that I've Resisted the Peer Pressure for Having a Colonoscopy All This Time... I've been Living with a Mystery and Been Happy... To Quote Nancy Reagan: "Just Say No... to Colonoscopy!" - A Racket... Some People DO DIE of Colon Cancer BUT... "It's Always Something!"

It's 6:13 AM on 2/15 and I'm allowed to Drink Coffee and Take Most of my Morning Pills... So I'm Reading my Email and The Newspaper... I Always Read Google News... It's Especially Good because they Publish Articles that are Likely to Interest ME... and After Gathering data on ME since the Late 1990s they have a Pretty Good Idea of What I Like... WITH THE EXCEPTION of Stories about the Kardashians... I Keep on telling Google to show "Fewer Stories Like This"and that keeps my News Feed Kardashian Free for a Month but then... I'm served at Least Four articles about them...

6:00 PM Brother Visit done... and I Drank the Entire First Dose of Real Colonoscopy Juice... PLENVU...

I'll do the last Half at 9 AM Tomorrow.

7 AM 2/16 - I tested my Blood Sugar this Morning and the Number was 100... I've been Getting Readings of 130-140 every Day... SO... This NOT Eating makes a Difference!

We Will NOT Be Doing Another Colonoscopy in the Immediate Future as THAT FAILS... 

as an alternative I'll be Having a CAT SCAN instead. If that Shows Large Polyps, Then there will be another Attempt at a Colonoscopy to Remove Polyps...
