“On December 13, 2025, the Stockton Police Department held a Gun Buyback event as part of our gun violence reduction strategy through responsible gun ownership.
The event was successful with 277 firearms turned in.
The purpose of this event was to collect firearms that were no longer wanted, to prevent them from landing in the wrong hands and turning into crime guns if they are stolen during burglaries. The majority of the firearms were legally owned; however, they were unwanted and had possibly been unsafely stored.” #stockton #california

So far The Whinery has been a place to vent relatively fickle annoyances, like trying to reseal a “resealable“ bag. I don’t know if it would be OK for me to air a real complaint. But here goes: Jesus Christ, that shill of a judge in Florida, who is by the account of all legal experts totally incompetent and unqualified, has needlessly put the strongest case—the classified documents case—into indefinite limbo… And the Supreme Court is fucking around to try to delay everything until he can, as president, pardon himself of all his crimes… And NOW, as of today, the Fulton County case is substantially delayed. That son of a bitch is going to end up walking away from it all, and the idiot constituency that makes up a far too sizable portion of the electorate of this fucked up nation is going to vote him right back in. That’s my whine.

Fox News has never been about the news. Rupert Murdoch (and now his kids) have done more to hurt democracy and American progress than anyone since the Confederacy. Nixon still had the support of over 60% of Republicans the day he resigned. If Fox News had been around then he probably wouldn't have resigned.
The Fox News business model is designed to divide Americans. Always has been. The division we're currently experiencing won't ever get better until Congress figures out a way to protect Americans from political propaganda without hurting the First Amendment. Tall order but we are doomed if they don't do something. Bring back an updated version of the Fairness Doctrine. But, SOMETHING has to be done or someday Don Jr. will be the president.
