SE REPLIED: You're probably thinking of Live 105, which plays alternative rock and 90's rock. Live 105 went away for a while, but now it's back, and it was very much needed. But I do wish they were more like they were when they first started in the 80's. In the 80's, "alternative rock" meant an "alternative" to regular rock, which was stuff like Led Zeppelin and the Who and Pink Floyd, and also Motley Crue and Def Leppard and stuff like that. Live 105 played new wave and industrial and goth and punk. Their format changed in the 90's when grunge mostly killed all of those other genres, and "alternative rock" was no longer an alternative to regular rock, it was just the mainstream rock: Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains and stuff like that. And I guess they still played some punk, but mostly newer punk like Green Day and the Offspring. So I wish they'd go back to the new wave, industrial, and goth music they played in the 80's. But there doesn't seem to be as much demand for that now, for some reason.

SLJ SAID: I'm really NOT a fan of jazz. But I actually have one of my car radio presets to KCSM, College of San Mateo. 80% of the time they're playing music classified as jazz but it's too chaotic for the meter in my head. I can't seem to find the "pulse" of many songs so I bail and go to one of my other stations. BUT, then again, sometimes they play some really cool and interesting songs that I simply love! The same is true with a lot of classical music so again I have a preset to a classical station. Some of that music I absolutely can't stand but every once in a while they play some really cool songs. I wonder if part of my diverse listening (rock, country, punk, electronic, folk, etc.) habits come from being a musician because I find myself figuring out what they're doing rather that just enjoying it. One thing for sure though, I don't listen to a CD collection. I'm a random radio listener.

SE REPLIED: I never used to like jazz either, with the exception of big band/swing. But I didn't think I liked other types of jazz...but then in 2016, I went to the San Jose Jazz Festival for the first time, and I realized that there are a lot of different styles of jazz, and I actually like a lot of it! But big band/swing is still my favorite. I spend most of my time at the big band stage when I go to the jazz festival.

We have already seen what happens when a President Suffering from Alzheimer's (Ronald Reagan) allows a Random Colonel to Run the Government. Not Pretty. I remember meeting Oliver North at a Book Signing. I went there intending to start an argument with him but... when I saw him he looked like a Pathetic Old Man and so, I cut him some slack... 

No one asks Joe Biden "Who is Your Favorite Beatle?" because he is from a Previous Generation... I see him as a Folksinger Fan or Maybe Elvis... It's Certain that He Did Not Embrace "The Sixties." Because he has proven that he has NOT Learned any of the Lessons. That's Why He Has Spent a Lifetime BEING WRONG ABOUT EVERY ISSUE... HOWEVER, If Corporate America Selects Him To Be The Democratic Candidate, I Will Vote For Him. He Might Be Good if He Just Hires Elizabeth Warren To DO All His Thinking For Him. Hundreds of Thousands of People died. Trillions of Dollars Wasted... Much Later, the REST of the People in the USA Woke UP! and Voted for Obama because he promised he would end the war in Iraq. Background. Noriega was a CIA employee making about $100,000 a year helping the USA fight the Sandinistas in Nicaragua. He ALSO was "very helpful" fighting the "War on Drugs" since a lot of Cocaine was shipped from South America through Central America to the USA. Ironically, Noriega was also on the Payroll of the Drug Traffickers as well. Originally, George H W Bush (the Father) hired Manuel Noriega when he was the Director of Central Intelligence Agency... Reagan and Noriega had a Falling Out when Noriega started assisting the USSR in Central America AND when Noriega's Drug Smuggling Past was exposed to the public [by Seymor Hirsh] during the Iran/Contra Hearings. Therefore... He became our enemy and had "always been" our enemy... Just like in the book 1984... 

So, Panama declared war on the USA and The USA started "Operation Just Cause" and hunted down Noriega. He was hiding in The Vatican Mission and the USA felt restricted by Protocol and would not go in to arrest Noriega. SO... In a Bizarre plot twist... "Operation Nifty Package" - The USA Set up loudspeakers outside the Mission and played LOUD Heavy Metal Rock Music 24 Hours a Day in order to drive Noriega Mad and have him Surrender... And it worked! "Stop! STOP! No More Black Sabbath! Please STOP! Noriega was arrested, brought to trial in the USA, convicted and... GEE, I Don't know whatever happened to "PINEAPPLE FACE" - Part of "Operation Nifty Package" was Propaganda to drum up support in the American Public... Noriega had bad acne as a teenager and ended up with lifelong scars on his face - His Face looked like a Pineapple.

#MAGAbomber Pleads Guilty. Cesar Sayoc admits to Voting For Trump and Mailing Bombs to Democrats, TV News People...

Headline: MAGAbomber Cesar Sayoc pleads guilty. 
Sayoc’s targets included former President Barack Obama, 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, and major liberal donor George Soros — each of whom has been the subject of paranoid and sometimes violent commentary by right-wing figures from both the distant fringe and central core of the modern conservative movement. None of the devices detonated as intended.

Soros in particular has been a bugaboo to Fox News hosts and white supremacist rabble-rousers for more than a decade. The wealthy philanthropist and activist is often portrayed in flagrantly anti-Semitic terms by voices on the far right. Barely 24 hours after Sayoc’s arrest in October, another man seemingly involved in those same online anti-Semitic conspiracist circles walked into a Pittsburgh synagogue and murdered seven worshipers. The shooter had posted online about his belief that a Jewish cabal was smuggling criminal migrants across the southern U.S. border.

Headline: How Trump's Psychology Of Hate Unleashed The MAGABomber... 

President Trump has, intentionally or not, hit a trifecta of hate that foments terrorism, in this case domestic terrorism. At rallies and speeches his incendiary eloquence identifies opponents as enemies then motivates hatred and sanctions violence against them. Facts no longer matter. Nor do values shared with those he sees as horrible, terrible people. What matters is that it’s us versus them. And we can’t let them win. Never apologize, never back down.


The trifecta is important, central in fact. One or two components and a leader would not be responsible for the violent acts of their supporters. Not all populists incite terrorism. So, when right wing apologists start defending President Trump, as they will, by pointing to sharply critical things people like Maxine Waters or Bernie Sanders may have said they will be missing the point. And if they’ve read this piece they will be willfully trying to deceive. The psychology of hate shows you need Trump’s trifecta to be responsible. So let’s look closer.

Protest Marches at the White House against the War in Iraq by George Bush the Father. I was on TV... on LSD...

During the Gulf War I went to many protest marches at Lafayette Park across the street from the White House. We played the drums in order to annoy George the Father and disturb his sleep. One day we all walked to the Lincoln Memorial. I had taken an acid trip with my next door neighbors the night before and during the protest I was still tripping. The parade permit was for a certain time period and it expired while I was there. Many people sat down in the middle of the street... to make a point... the protesters that were in the street got arrested and were hauled away in busses to jail. Those of us who were on the sidewalk were not arrested. I was faced with a choice... to stand in the street or stay on the sidewalk... LSD makes events and decisions much more significant. The police were dressed in Stormtrooper outfits and Big Black Boots... Like the Blue Meanies in Yellow Submarine... Anyway, I selected to NOT get arrested... Many sat down in the street... but not me. I stand by that decision today. Daniel Ellsberg DID get arrested.

When we were in front of the White House I was interviewed by the TV News. A couple of days later another neighbor of mine said that she saw me "Make a Jackass of Myself" on TV. I told her thank you, because if you thought I was a Jackass, I was doing the right thing...

On another day I played the drums with some Buddhist Monks. They were playing paddle drums in a very odd rhythm. I asked them why they played that odd rhythm and they said it focused the attention... They had to focus so they would be able to play it and THAT freed the mind to go into a meditative trance...

I also met Dick Gregory walking down the street in DC during those protests. I noticed that all the other people on the street were looking at this Old Black Man... Heads were turning... I Said: "I feel like something is terribly wrong in this country, but I'm not sure what." He said. "Thank You for your Opinion." In retrospect, I didn't say the most brilliant thing but... that's what I said.

We were the minority of people in the country... Most people thought that war was a good idea. Iraq had invaded Kuwait...

Years later a different War in Iraq was waged by George Bush the Son. That was a total disaster and eventually lead to Obama being Elected President... He promised to end the War. I went to MANY anti-war protests in Eureka about that War.

If you ever want to know the inside story of the American President George Bush the Son, Read Bob Woodward's series. "Bush at War", "Plan of Attack" and "State of Denial". They take you inside the White House with One on One interviews with ALL the key players.

Conclusion: The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were terrible mistakes. We blew up the wrong countries. Millions of people protested against these wars before they happened but Bush ignored all facts and invaded. Over a million people died including 5,000 American soldiers during the war and even more due to soldier suicide.

The "Mission" is to sell weapons.

Since 1945, ALL wars have been Marketing Frauds designed to Generate Corporate Profits. Remember: Never Volunteer for the Military, Your PTSD can Last for Decades. Actually Committing Murder Just tears a person up inside.

A couple of things I learned from these books.
1. No one ever invades a country that has Nuclear Weapons. That is why we invaded Afghanistan as it is a country near where Osama bin Laden lived. We could not invade Pakistan as they have Nuclear Weapons. However, by invading Afghanistan we could build military safe locations to house soldiers that were doing clandestine raids into Pakistan. Eventually, one of those raids was successful and we killed Osama bin Laden.

2. By having a Presidential daily briefing with the Director of the CIA, the intelligence community was influenced to find what the President WANTED to find, NOT actual reality. Tenet was to find AN EXCUSE to invade Iraq. Supposedly, Saddam Hussein had Weapons of Mass Destruction and the Bush used that false intel to sell the War in Iraq to the US Congress and the American people. Reality? Iraq had no WMD, no ties to Al-Qaeda and nothing at all to do with 9/11. However, Cheney saw the invasion as a great opportunity to sell goods and services to the US Government through his corporation Halliburton. It's true that over 5,000 American soldiers died for nothing but Cheney's company made a great profit.

They Say History is Written by the Victors. Well, They Are Wrong. Actually, History is written by Bob Woodward.
