There is much banter floating around about not voting, because voting is just voting for the lesser of the two evils. Well let's look at a scenario. You're in a river. You don't swim very well and the water level is just below your nose. A boat comes by with two people in it. One of them tells you you should have planned better in your life an learned to swim or at least wore a life preserver (which you couldn't afford) and basically you will have to fend for yourself. The other one tells you that if you swim just a little closer to the boat they will grab you by the groin and pull you into safety.

Now sure the second choice is not all that good (lesser of the two evils) but it sure the hell beats being a corpse floating down the river.
