A headline today mentions congressional leaders agreeing to a cut to the IRS. If the country and congress were serious about the national debt and therefore money coming into the treasury, why would they not support properly funding the IRS ? This is pressure from businesses and the wealthy to get the IRS to not scrutinize tax returns too closely by underfunding. Seems 'we' are just determined to raise our debt. I read recently ( so not sure if it's true) that interest payments on our debt is approaching the amount we spend on defense.


We need to reelect Biden , give him a Majority in the House & expand our majority in the Senate so he can fund the IRS which actually produces income & reduces the deficit. Of course, there are many other important initiatives to be achieved like common sense gun reform, protecting women's reproductive rights, rhe continuance of our Democracy, protections for marginalized groups including LGBTQ+ minorities, providing a path to citizenship for dreamers, expanding & protecting voting rights, putting an end to gerrymandering, passing paid family leave legislation, rolling back the massive tax cuts for the top 1% & corporations. protecting Social Security & Meficare, further reducing the cost of prescription drugs, funding our public school system, expanding environmental protections & combating climate change, making college affordable, continuing efforts to improve our infrastructure & to be at the forefront of emerging technologies, to name a few.
