The House Ethics Committee started examining the comments in March after a complaint was filed, alleging that Gaetz "sought to threaten, intimidate, harass, or otherwise improperly influence the President’s former attorney, Michael Cohen, in connection with Mr. Cohen’s testimony before a congressional committee," according to a statement from the Ethics Committee.
