INVITATION!
Protest in Arcata, CA - July 25th at Noon ---- Spread the Word by Sharing this Invitation ---- No More ICE MURDERS! ---- Nationwide!

Next protest Arcata California July 25th

https://www.mobilize.us/disappearedinamerica/event/993696/

Here in Humboldt we're missing our neighbor and friend Gilberto "Rudy" Jimenez Gonzales who was detained by ICE in Wyoming on July 15 and was since then transferred to a GEO group owned ICE detention facility in Aurora, Colorado where an outbreak of tuberculosis is spreading. Rudy has lived in Eureka for nearly 40 years, has raised his family, paid taxes, and never committed any crime. Rudy is a loving father and grandfather and deserves to be reunited with his family. Help Rudy with this Go Fund Me campaign https://gofund.me/5666c7c10.
ICE needs to be shut down!

On July 7, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Houston while driving a work van with his crew. On July 13, ICE fatally shot 26-year-old Johan Sebastian Guerrero in Biddeford, Maine — his wife and toddler forced to witness his murder.

Both men were beloved members of their communities, killed on their way to work. Join us for a vigil to demand Justice for Rudy. Justice for Lorenzo. Justice for Johan. Justice for All. ICE Out.

A core principle behind all Disappeared In America events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.

A SADIST is Happy When Other People are Suffering... Trump says: ‘I love the inflation’ after consumer price index hits 3-year high...

A SADIST IS HAPPIEST WHEN THEY CAUSE THE SUFFERING!
Everybody hates Donald - TV's hottest show - meme

Wisdom of the Beaver
Asked what evidence proves the California election is rigged, Mike Johnson replied, "Look, some of these efforts are so diabolical and so far upstream it's impossible to prove. But I think everybody instinctively knows that something is wrong here."
We know EXACTLY what's wrong here. You're crying it's rigged because you're LOSING. The real upstream diabolical schemes are the SAVE Act, trying to force the USPS to deliver ballots selectively based on Trump's lists, and having the SCOTUS gut the Voting Rights Act and allow states to re-district in the middle of elections!
You're complaining about a Democratic candidate beating a Republican candidate in a city where registered Republicans are VASTLY outnumbered by registered Democrats and Independents. It's just math, dude.
Just because YOU'RE cheating doesn't mean everyone is cheating.

We empower people to leave MAGA and tell their stories...
Dear MAGA Americans,

I was a devoted member of MAGA nation for seven years; it made me feel I was part of something important: a movement that was trying to save American democracy.

But starting in 2021, I realized I had been mistaken. It took me a full year to finally break away. During that time, I came to understand that MAGA is sustained by a series of myths that are intended to create perpetual feelings of desperation and panic.

And Then I Woke the F*ck Up!

Book: Tongue in Chico

Book: Tongue in Chico - I went there in 1973 and 1974 before I flunked Out...
https://www.amazon.com/Tongue-Chico-Decade-Merriment-Mayhem/dp/1735613207 Who knew college could be this funny? In his quest to show what campus life was really like for the pioneering undergrads of Chico State University's Golden Age, our courageous author takes us on a trip to that crazy age between the 60s and 80s -- the rollicking 1970s. You remember those days, don't you? Not quite free love, lots of rock 'n' roll, drugs of the innocent and not-so-innocent kind and the absolute feeling that all was right with the world. This book captivates its readers with astute, amusing and downright hilarious moments in the day in the life of a Chico State Wildcat. Where else can you party with your profs, skinny-dip between class and coast through stop signs on your bike with only a nominal risk of winding up on somebody's windshield? Based on a compilation of past columns from several Northern California weeklies including a stint as ace cub reporter for his college newspaper, C L Smith invites us along on his migration from Southern California to the quaint college town of Chico, California. After college, he finally ditches his shorts, tee-shirts and flip-flops and assumes the identity of a bona fide bon vivant as the editor of the Santa Cruz Good Times. Later, C L Smith was the marketing wizard who introduced several iconic advertising campaigns of the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. And, if you think Smith's college years were funny, wait till you join him for a walk on the wild side of American business in the advertising and wireless worlds.

We should ban fracking.
Banning fracking is key to ensuring
livable future for all of us.

The practice of forgiveness is our most important contribution to the healing of the world.
- Marianne Williamson

Part of the aware journey is having the courage to forgive. No one is perfect, and everyone makes mistakes, especially while you figure things out on University Earth. It’s just part of the journey to fail, learn, forgive and level up.

The healing of the world starts in your heart. There is a radiant and beautiful soul ready to shine every time you tap into your own well of compassion. When you dive into that well, you are increasing your capacity for love, empathy and grace. To truly forgive, you must be able to speak from that space. Oftentimes, the act of forgiveness, to yourself, or to others, is the vulnerable gesture that allows you to see yourself in a whole new and brilliant light. When you are illuminated in this light, you will be able to express your authentic story so clearly that your life, and the lives around you, will change. When you step into compassion and forgiveness for yourself, you begin to heal the world.

Let's try something out today. Call up to your mind a time when you might have held back out of fear of "not being good enough". Maybe it was a romantic date or maybe it was a promotion? Remember the sensations of being curious and excited about that opportunity.

What did it feel like in your body?
What was sparking your curiosity?

Next, I want you to do the hard work of feeling into the part of you that told you to avoid that date or deny that promotion. Did you feel a heaviness, a restriction, did you breathing get shallow? What were your thoughts? Was that voice aggressive or sly?

Get to know this voice. Once you're settled in knowing what you wanted and hearing what diverted you from trying, I want you to get centered and take one of those big deep aware breaths with me right now.

Deep breath in, hold for a beat, and let go completely.

Now call that dissenting voice up in your mind and speak directly to it, saying:

"I forgive you for holding me back. I know you were trying to protect me. What I wanted was to experience (insert your original desire here). I am whole enough and ready now to follow my spark."

Take another deep breath and just notice your body and how you are feeling. Feel free to repeat, adjust and personalize this affirmation even more! It helps to be very specific about what it really was you were going for originally. And it helps to repeat this process as needed.

You will know it's working when you feel confident to withstand the uncertainty that comes with following your dreams and sharing your story with the world!

In love & gratitude,

Are You Facing Death? Explore The Trip Treatment. An article by Michael Pollan about Research done at NYU into Psychedelics and Cancer Treatment...

The Trip Treatment

Research into psychedelics, shut down for decades, is now yielding exciting results.

By 2010, the cancer had spread to Patrick’s lungs and he was buckling under the weight of a debilitating chemotherapy regimen and the growing fear that he might not survive. The article, headlined “hallucinogens have doctors tuning in again,” mentioned clinical trials at several universities, including N.Y.U., in which psilocybin—the active ingredient in so-called magic mushrooms—was being administered to cancer patients in an effort to relieve their anxiety and “existential distress.”

Greetings: Here are 20 simple ideas for making the world a better place.

1. We ought to build a giant solar power desalinization plant in Southern California. Convert Seawater into drinking water, salt and electricity.  It would use solar reflectors to boil seawater and create steam. That steam would be used to drive turbines and create electricity. When the water cools it condenses into pure H2O and salt. The water would be sold to people for drinking, washing, watering livestock and watering plants. The salt could be sold or returned to the ocean if there are not enough customers... Camp Pendleton near San Diego would be an ideal location. Southern California is in need of water. There is a current proposal to use pipelines to move fresh water from the Sacramento River to be used by farmers and residents in SoCal. An alternative would be to just get the water from the ocean... We should also stop watering lawns in California. It's a cultural norm that is not practical in a state that is suffering drought. What if it became fashionable to have rock gardens or cactus? That's what they do in Arizona...

2. Convert human fat into electricity using exercise bicycle power generators. The kinetic energy created by people pedalling can be converted into electricity by using an alternator, diode and battery. Many people use stationary bicycles for exercise and these currently unused sources of power could be used to create electricity. People could sell the electricity to the power company.
