The false prophet of the end times is described in Revelation 13:11-15. He is also referred to as the “second beast” (Revelation 13:11; 16:13, 19:20, 20:10). Together with the Antichrist and Satan, who empowers both of them, the false prophet is the third party in the unholy trinity
The apostle John describes this person and gives us clues to identifying him when he shows up. First, he comes out of the earth. This could mean he comes up from the pit of hell with all the demonic powers of hell at his command. It could also mean he comes from lowly circumstances, secret and unknown until he bursts on the world stage at the right hand of the Antichrist. He is depicted as having horns like a lamb, while speaking like a dragon. The horns on lambs are merely small bumps on their heads until the lamb grows into a ram. Rather than having the Antichrist’s multiplicity of heads and horns, showing his power and might and fierceness, the false prophet comes like a lamb, winsomely, with persuasive words that elicit sympathy and good will from others. He may be an extraordinary preacher or orator whose demonically empowered words will deceive the multitudes. But he speaks like a dragon, which means his message is the message of a dragon. Revelation 12:9 identifies the dragon as the devil and Satan.
Verse 12 gives us the false prophet’s mission on earth, which is to force humanity to worship the Antichrist. He has all the authority of the Antichrist because, like him, the false prophet is empowered by Satan. It is not clear whether people are forced to worship the Antichrist or whether they are so enamored of these powerful beings that they fall for the deception and worship him willingly. The fact that the second beast uses miraculous signs and wonders, including fire from heaven, to establish the credibility of both of them would seem to indicate that people will fall before them in adoration of their power and message. Verse 14 goes on to say the deception will be so great that the people will set up an idol to the Antichrist, "the image of the beast," and worship it. This is reminiscent of the huge golden image of Nebuchadnezzar (Daniel 3) before which all were to bow down and pay homage. Revelation 14:9-11, however, describes the ghastly fate that awaits those who worship the image of the Antichrist.
Those who survive the terrors of the tribulation to this point will be faced with two hard choices. Those who refuse to worship the image of the beast will be subject to death (Revelation 13:15), but those who do worship him will incur the wrath of God. The image will be extraordinary in that it will be able to “speak.” Whatever the image is (a statue? a hologram? an android? a human-animal hybrid? a clone?), it will have some kind of ability to breathe forth the message of the Antichrist and the false prophet. Along with being the spokesman for them, the image will condemn to death those who refuse to worship the unholy pair. In our technological world, it is not hard to imagine such a scenario.
Whoever the false prophet turns out to be, the final world deception and the final apostasy will be great, and the whole world will be caught up in it. The deceivers and false teachers we see today are the forerunners of the Antichrist and the false prophet, and we must not be deceived by them. These false teachers abound, and they are moving us toward a final satanic kingdom. We must faithfully proclaim the saving gospel of Jesus Christ and rescue the souls of men and women from the coming disaster.

When I was a kid growing up in Los Gatos, there was this fruit that I ate and I can't remember its name. What I remember is that it was like an apricot, but it had maybe 3 pits that were sort of slimy. Maybe it grew in the area, I don't remember. Anybody know?
Well, in the middle of the night the answer finally came to me, and confirmed here in this thread: loquat. I had been mixing it up in my mind with kumquat, which I knew wasn't the right answer, kumquat being a tiny citrus fruit. I don't remember how I had access to loquats, but I remember eating them. I remember that the seeds took up quite a bit of the bulk of the fruit. Can you buy them at a grocery store?

After my kids left their bodies everything took on new meaning and my entire reason for being is being redefined. I am freshly sober since the first Monday of june 2022 and I am developing a non bias take on life and my part in it... The following came to me about an hour ago...
I've created a really tough imaginary dilemma for myself that I have to use real world "stuff" to overcome...
Regardless-I'm now slightly more in tune with the feelings that were involved and the choices I made that invoked them.
I am beginning to love how my sober mind works-it's pretty amazing to observe myself from a viewpoint that's sort of like watching a movie, except it's more like the raw script, pre first draft while there are still so many different choices...What's really enlightening is watching my sub conscious self zip on past all the choices, as if they're not even there along a fixed and repetitive route the perpetually leads to the same unsatisfactory results every single time.
It's quite comical, really; and it's not like one piece of daily life here and there, It's the whole friggin puzzle! So, what is comical is when I catch my observing self wandering off into the vast abyss, hand in hand with my sub conscious self. I used be provoked when this happened, but I can't help but chuckle now-and bless them with Godspeed-they served their purpose well...

Thanks for Sharing... I found that Quitting Drinking and Smoking made my thoughts more clear... I was able to understand more and - Write better... and Sing Better... and Get Stuff Done! I published about 10 Music Videos while Smoking Marijuana and Tobacco... and then I Published about a Hundred after I quit.

Thanks for the add, and apologies if this has been done to death but...I have been playing for years (about 40?) and I'm in a pub rock band but I have never got my head around theory. I bang away using blues scale for everything. I've bought books over the years and I kind of understand things but it is not like it feels part of my language. Like, I've played with people who understand theory and they will throw things at me like "are you playing the 3rd there?" or "how about adding the 9th to that chord?" and it's not like I have no idea what they are saying but I need a reference book, pencil and paper to work it out. For them, it just seems like they are fluent in the language of music, while I'm struggling along with a phrase book!
Recently I've been watching some podcasts where people break songs down and point out that some well known songs have solos in the wrong key and things like that - really interesting and it sounds much better in the right key...although I would never have noticed there was anything 'wrong'.
I guess I'm wondering - how do I get fluent in music theory? I suppose it's practice...but I have no real reason to practice. By which I mean, I play covers in the band...so I learn the song then play it. So, theory isn't a huge part of my day to day.
Anyway - sorry for the long post. Any advice gratefully received!

We’d better start to elect more fair minded intelligent lawmakers to begin with who actually value human lives over a powerful lobbying group who doesn’t seem to care about anyone other than themselves in my opinion. I’m for the right to bear arms, but in a reasonable responsible way. In my opinion there’s no civilian justifiable reason for owning and using military grade automatic/semiautomatic weapons. Responsible law abiding gun owners will tell you that the majority of them support common sense gun laws in this country. Some of the very people who carry on about their freedoms are actually taking away far too many other people’s freedoms in my opinion. If this public killing spree is allowed to continue in this country, mark my words it will eventually cripple our very way of lives and severely inhibit our businesses as well as our economy in my opinion. You might ask how. People are already starting to be cautious in public. Even a car back firing at a mall can cause a stir. People want to have their loved ones and themselves safe in public as well as private settings. Something that Americans never gave a second thought too even ten years ago, as in going to the grocery store, a movie, a concert, the mall, going to a place of business, have all been scared by mass shootings. The confidence in American’s feeling secure in public settings is eroding at the hands of one powerful lobby group. I say why do they get to determine Americans safety and security for their own benefits? More and more businesses are going to feel the pinch of gunmen with an agenda dictating where people actually shop and socialize in my opinion. Will America get its act together and stop letting a lobby group dictate to us? I hope and pray we do. Not only do lives literally depend upon it. America itself does too
