Trump has been charged with four counts: conspiracy to defraud the United States "by using dishonesty, fraud and deceit to obstruct the nation’s process of collecting, counting, and certifying the results of the presidential election"; conspiracy to impede the Jan. 6 congressional proceeding; a conspiracy against the right to vote and to have that vote counted; and obstruction of, and attempt to obstruct and impede, the certification of the electoral vote.
THE CATS of Los Gatos.
Their lurks this quiet shaded road leading off into the trees through a deep woods is all to be seen. Where wild mountain cats still roam freely. The gate is an exquisite, wrought iron handmade masterpiece (now replaced with a standard gate) that begs to be opened.
A pair of pure white felines statues sit on either side of the gate to an estate called Poet's Canyon. Two large, 8-feet tall cats are known as Leo and Leona. The Sleeping Cat Statue has his eyes open. The Waking Cat has his eyes closed, guard the entrance of an estate. The lions are dated 1922.
The estate was built in the 1920s as an artist's retreat by the original owners, writer Charles Erskine Scott Wood and his wife, poet Sara Bard Field. In 1922, the couple added a pair of approximately 8-foot-tall cat statues known as Leo and Leona which are positioned at the gated entrance. The estate came to be known as "The Cats." An approximately 75-acre estate with a 3,985-square-foot, five-bedroom, four-bathroom main house; a two-bedroom, 2½ -bathroom gatehouse; and a two-bedroom, two-bathroom house known as "The Poet's Cottage."
The Cats are made of tinted concrete and are sitting, ears up, tail curled around the back legs. The eyes of the cat on the left are partly closed; the eyes of the cat on the right, are open. Both cats sit on concrete bases. There's also built a large round bench with round table in the middle near the shack. The bench is constructed of concrete, engraved with poems.
The Cats was known for the famous of the day who visited and attended the many dinner parties the owners hosted. Eleanor Roosevelt came to visit. Senator James Phelan who lived close by at his country estate, Montalvo. John Steinbeck lived in Los Gatos from the mid-thirties to 1941, enjoying the magic of the Poet’s Canyon. Numerous artist friends included as well as Carl Sandberg a writer with two Pulitzer Prizes, to name a few of the guests to this magical estate in the sky.
Poet's Canyon is aptly named for a fascinating married couple, Charles Erskin Scott Wood (a poet, Ph.D., lawyer, Civil War Vet and West Point Grad) and Sara Bard Field (poet and suffragist), who built their home back in this 34-acre nook in the hills. They commissioned a sculptor named Robert Paine to make these 8' tall cement cats at the gateway to their home.
Nearby is the equally famous Cats Restaurant with an old stagecoach stop.

The chief executive of Fox News ordered reporters at the far-right network to stop fact-checking Donald Trump’s false claims about election fraud after Joe Biden’s victory in 2020. That’s according to an email from CEO Suzanne Scott revealed as part of a $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit filed against Fox News by Dominion Voting Systems. In a message sent in early December of 2020, Scott wrote of the fact-checking, “This has to stop now. … The audience is furious and we are just feeding them material. Bad for business.” Another email revealed Scott encouraged Fox News to book Mike Lindell, the CEO of My Pillow and a prominent election denier, saying he would “get ratings.”
