I need people to sit with this for a second, because I think we keep missing half the fight. And it is getting people hurt.
We spend all our energy pointing at the people at the top. The psychopaths pulling strings, making decisions in rooms we will never sit in, profiting off other people’s suffering while calling it leadership. Good. Keep pointing. They deserve every ounce of rage we’ve got.
But if we stop there, we are lying to ourselves about what is actually killing us.
The other half of this fight is us.
It is the neighbor who repeats a talking point word for word without ever asking who wrote it for them. The family member who would rather protect a lying politician’s ego than their own grandchildren’s future. The friend who stopped thinking the moment loyalty to a party became more important than loyalty to the truth.
Call it what it is. That is not ignorance anymore. That is choosing comfort over conscience.
None of this is an accident. This is the plan, and it is working exactly as designed.
They do not need everyone at the top to be evil. They just need enough brain-dead sheep at the bottom to stop questioning anything. They needed people exhausted, divided, addicted to their screens, and angrier at each other than at the people robbing them blind.
So they built exactly that.
They turned neighbor against neighbor. Family against family. Coworker against coworker. Then they had the audacity to call it patriotism. To call it faith. To call it common sense.
It is none of those things.
It is control. And the people wearing the chains are out here defending the ones holding the leash.
I am done being polite about this.
I am furious watching good, decent people get destroyed by manufactured lies while the people selling those lies get richer and more powerful every single time. I am furious watching people I love defend a system that is bleeding them dry because some grifter on a screen told them who to hate.
They are not thinking anymore.
They are performing loyalty like it is a personality.
The human race did not need an outside enemy to bring it to its knees. It just needed enough people willing to stop thinking for themselves and start attacking each other instead.
So no, this was never only a fight against the people at the top.
It is also a fight against every narcissistic, brain-dead follower who makes their cruelty possible. A fight to wake up everyone who has been convinced that blind obedience is strength and that asking questions makes you a traitor.
Until we drag that fight into the daylight, the people at the top get to sit back, laugh, and keep winning without lifting a finger.
Wake up.
Question everything.
Stop doing their dirty work for them while they walk away clean.

In an environment where corporations are quietly using "surveillance pricing" to charge you more for the same carton of eggs based on your personal data, New York City's mayor just fought back with real, tangible relief.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced that all five of the city's municipal grocery stores will now offer a core set of essential staples — fresh produce, meat, seafood, plus 20 additional staples like milk, cheese, and bread — at a flat 30% below typical retail prices, guaranteed for the entire month, every month.
This is a major revolution in the city’s grocery shopping environment.
Since 2019, grocery prices nationwide have soared roughly 30% while wages have stagnated. Meanwhile, corporations have developed predatory pricing technology that tracks your personal shopping data to charge YOU more than your neighbor for identical products.
Mamdani called it exactly what it is: unacceptable.
"No weekly fluctuations, nor sticker shock at the checkout line," Mamdani said. "Not for our seniors living on fixed incomes, nor for the parents who rely on a regular supply of apple slices to keep toddler tantrums at bay."
This is what actual government intervention on behalf of working people looks like — not vague promises, not corporate tax breaks that never trickle down, but a concrete, predictable, city-run alternative that undercuts price gouging directly.
Mamdani even demonstrated the transparency built into the program, scanning a QR code live at the podium to show New Yorkers exactly how much a bunch of plantains would cost under the new pricing structure, pointing them to grocery.nyc for the full policy breakdown.
While Republicans in Washington cut taxes for billionaires and gut healthcare, New York City is proving that local government can still deliver real affordability, real transparency, and real accountability directly to working families.
This is the difference between politicians who talk about the cost of living and a mayor who is actually doing something about it.
No wonder Trump is resorting to the McCarthyism of his mentor, the disgraced lawyer Roy Cohn, to rail against the sort of real populism that proves the disingenuousness of his own brand of phony populism.
Perhaps Mamdani’s successes in New York City will inspire voters around the nation to embrace Democratic Socialist candidates in their own local governments. After all they have nothing to lose but the foot that the oligarchs have on their necks.
