John then describes a series of prophetic and symbolic visions preceding the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. These visions include figures such as a woman clothed with the sun with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars, the seven-headed Dragon, and the seven-headed Beast.

Separation from Reason: He maintained that "Scripture must not be adapted to reason, nor reason to Scripture." Spinoza viewed philosophical reason as the true path to knowledge of God-or-Nature, rather than the confused images and mysterious visions found in Revelation. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
