Anti-trump protest at the White House all day all night - meme - gvan42

Simply buy nothing on February 28th to protest against the ruling class. Long ago I played the drums in drum circles in Lafayette Park to protest the Gulf War when George Bush the Father was president. While it's still legal, we need to have massive protest marches centered around the White House chanting... You're a felon... You're a felon... You're a felon... GTFO! Let "He who shall not be named" know that we oppose everything he's doing... Especially the Madness caused by Elon Musk... Come on down and join us... Sing, dance, play the drums, chant and let us drive evil out... Come on down!

On February 16, 2025, the UUSF Arts in Ministry & Shared Life Initiative hosted a vibrant literary festival titled "We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Fascism!" in celebration of President’s Day. The event brought together a diverse group of writers, poets, musicians, and humorists to address the pressing issues surrounding autocratic mentalities in today’s society.

He talked about electric cars. I don't know anything about cars, so when people said he was a genius I figured he must be a genius.

Then he talked about rockets. I don't know anything about rockets, so when people said he was a genius I figured he must be a genius.

Now he talks about software. I happen to know a lot about software & Elon Musk is saying the stupidest shit I've ever heard anyone say, so when people say he's a genius I figure I should stay the hell away from his cars and rockets.

"This constant lying is not aimed at making the people believe a lie, but at ensuring that no one believes anything anymore.
A people that can no longer distinguish between truth and lies cannot distinguish between right and wrong.
And such a people, deprived of the power to think and judge, is, without knowing and willing it, completely subjected to the rule
of lies. With such a people, you can do whatever you want."

Elon Musk having access to Americans' Social Security data isn't just a major security breach. It's part of a ploy to cut benefits — using the false pretext of "waste and fraud" — and have Congress use the savings to give billionaires another tax cut. Be warned.

How Musk is cancelling the U.S. government
Cartoon - anti-musk - Robert Reich

Friends,

I apologize for crowding your inbox for a second time today, but so much is happening that you need to see the overall pattern.

Musk and his associates have not only burrowed into the Treasury’s payments system; they are now burrowing into the Internal Revenue Service and the Social Security Administration.

They are gaining access to the most sensitive personal information about Americans available anywhere, along with computer code capable of altering that information and those systems. The Muskrats have been able to turn off government funding without Congress’s consent, even in the face of federal court orders to turn the funding back on.

This is blatantly illegal, yet Congress remains silent.

Congress is supine because Republicans are in charge, and Musk has also become Trump’s hatchet man — threatening Republican members of Congress if they deviate from Trump.

Iowa’s Republican Senator Joni Ernst was firmly set against Pete Hegseth for secretary of defense until Musk hinted that he’d finance a primary challenger to Ernst, who’s up for reelection next year. Presto: Ernst supported Hegseth.

Indiana’s Republican Senator Todd Young expressed concern about the nomination of Tulsi Gabbard to be director of national intelligence until Musk tweeted against him. A besieged Young spoke with JD Vance, who arranged a call with Musk. Presto: Young announced he would back Gabbard.

Musk warned Republican lawmakers in December that he was compiling a “naughty list” of members who buck Trump’s agenda. He also pledged shortly after Election Day that his political action committee would “play a significant role in primaries” next year.

A Republican senator told The Hill that Musk’s wealth makes primary threats “a bigger deal.”

Musk’s financial and political power have been enough to intimidate even the mainstream media. An advertisement set to run in The Washington Post yesterday calling for Musk to be fired from his role in government was abruptly canceled, according to Common Cause, one of the groups that had ordered the ad. When asked why the Post had pulled the ad, the Post said it was not at liberty to give a reason.

When and if America ever wrests back control of our government, we must remember this: The combination of great wealth and great power — epitomized by Elon Musk — is destroying American democracy.

Oligarchy is the enemy of democracy.

Steve Bannon in an interview with UnHerd: “Musk is a parasitic illegal immigrant. He wants to impose his freak experiments and play-act as God without any respect for the country’s history, values, or traditions.”

Friends,

A brief word today one the fifth horrific week of Trump 2.0.
I know how hard it’s been for you. We are watching what we never dreamed possible — the apparent transformation of our democracy into a dictatorship (or, as Trump enjoyed promoting this week, a monarchy).
You may be feeling helpless, powerless, and alone. But you are not. Most Americans are as disgusted by this as you are. Trump and his regime want us to feel helpless, powerless, and alone — because that’s Trump’s way of taking over.
Last week, Trump officially went over to the dark side by aligning himself with Vladimir Putin in the Ukraine war. Trump even said Ukraine started the war, and he called Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy a “dictator.”
By now we all know that when Trump accuses someone of something, he’s projecting himself onto them. Trump is the one who’s becoming a dictator. He’s refusing to follow laws of Congress or obey rulings of the courts — disregarding the two branches that the framers of the Constitution intended to be co-equal checks on a president’s power.
Americans have never particularly liked government. Ronald Reagan told us “the government” was the problem. Bill Clinton said “the era of big government is over.” Trump accuses the “deep state” of being an enemy of the people.
But we cherish our system of government. We believe in the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the separation of powers, and checks and balances, and we believe no person should be above the law. We prefer democracy to dictatorship. Our system was founded in opposition to monarchy.
The genius of our system is that it doesn’t require us to agree on every issue, but only to agree to be bound by decisions that emerge from it. We’re free to take any position on abortion, climate change, immigration, or any other issue, and to vote accordingly — but as participants in a democracy, we accept decisions that emerge from the system even if we dislike them.
We can, of course, work to change the politics that prevail in Washington and state capitals. We’re also free to protest, to engage in civil disobedience. We can even work to change the system through constitutional amendment.
If Trump were just attacking the government, many Americans would be cheering him on. But he’s now attacking our system of government. He’s moving America from democracy to dictatorship (or monarchy).
Although many Americans agree with his policies, most are coming to disagree with his attack on the system. The share of Americans who disapprove of Trump’s presidency has risen to 51% in the latest Reuters poll, compared with 41% right after he took office.
As more and more Americans come to understand his attack on our system of government — rather than the government (or his so-called “deep state”) — his support will continue to melt.
What do you think?

Autobiography: Laguna Beach - In Southern California between Los Angeles and San Diego - We went to a Wedding and Stayed at the Famous Hotel Laguna.

My Niece had her Wedding at a Golf Course up on a Hill overlooking Laguna Beach. On the Road to Irvine. It was a Fancy Formal Affair and We got to meet all her in laws for the first time and we got to revisit her Mom's Family... There was a lot of Dancing at the Reception... BIG FUN... This was a Traditional Jewish Wedding and we all wore Yarmulkes out of respect...

That Reminded me of Attending Martin and Adrienne's Wedding on a Boat in Long Beach Harbor. We Danced the "Chair Dance" where Four Men Held a Chair in the Air with the Bride sitting on it... That's something I've Never done before...

Victoria and I stayed at the World Famous Laguna Hotel... It was "The Place to BE" during the Silent Movie Era and Charlie Chaplain Partied There... It was Elegant and WAY out of my price range but... Since someone else was Paying... I really had a Great Time... We also walked around downtown and saw the Many Art Galleries... after all, It's Famous as an Artist Colony...

Of Course, Laguna Beach is MOST Famous for being the Home of the Brotherhood of Eternal Love... They were the chemists that made "Orange Sunshine" LSD. They also Hired the Weather Underground to Break Dr. Timothy Leary out of Vacaville Prison and helped him escape to Africa to go Live with Eldridge Cleaver, a Black Panther...

Who Really Said: "I KNEW there was something they weren't teaching us in school" Supposedly a Jerry Garcia Quote about his first LSD Experience?

At the end of the movie "Orange Sunshine" there was a lot of interviews with the members of The Brotherhood of Eternal Love...

One man made that statement... I can't find any verification on the internet using Google Search... Maybe it was said by someone else... It's possible that the man interviewed was simply confused about history...

For me it was a profoundly life changing experience. It has a lot to do with where I am now and why I’m here and why I do what I do and it all fits in and it was all happening as I was making the decisions to become who I am, you know what I mean? So it all steered me directly into this place. - Quote from Jerry Garcia

The last thing I want to ask you about, this is sort of an odd question but it’s a simple one: Why are you giving me this interview?
I want to be able to say to people in this time, with the big “Just Say No” where everybody is so roundly against drugs, that, hey, not all drug experiences are negative. I would like for that minority voice to be heard. Some drug experiences are quite positive and can be life-enhancing and can be pleasant and can be not dangerous and don’t necessarily promote criminal activity.
One of the quotes that I read was that you realized there was more than we’d been allowed to believe.
Yeah.
Who allows us?
That’s what I wonder. Who is the guy, where does it say, even in the ten commandments, “Thou shalt not get high. Thou shalt not change your consciousness” ? Who says? The way I understood it, it was helpful to change your consciousness sometimes.
