Kari Lake Fined $122,200 for BOGUS LAWSUIT... 

Kari Lake’s legal team, including lawyer Alan Dershowitz, must pay $122,200 in sanctions after a federal court in Arizona found that the former Republican gubernatorial candidate’s lawsuit contesting voting methods was “frivolous.”

Lake, a former television news anchor, brought a suit against the state of Arizona in April 2022 demanding the election officials use alternative methods to collect and count ballots, claiming that electronic voting machines are not reliable.

The lawsuit was thrown out and Lake ultimately lost the gubernatorial election to Gov. Katie Hobbs. She then filed another suit after the election alleging widespread fraud. That case was also dismissed, though she continues make baseless claims that the race was stolen from her.

BREAKING: Kari Lake has been ordered to pay $122,200 after a federal judge REJECTS her “frivolous” lawsuit trying to overturn the 2020 election.

Oh it gets better:

Not ONLY was Lake skewered for rejecting her loss to Katie Hobbs, but the judge also ordered fellow MAGA candidate Mark Finchem and lawyer Alan Dershowitz to pay penalties too.

Lake filed multiple lawsuits seeking to overturn her defeat, including one listing Finchem as a co-plaintiff. Finchem, a member of the Oath Keepers extremist group, lost his race for Arizona Secretary of State, a position that would have given him power over the administration of elections in a key swing state.

The federal judge skewered Lake, Finchem and Dershowitz for filing “false, misleading and unsupported” claims about the election in their lawsuit.

Dershowitz tried to downplay his role in the litigation but the judge held him accountable.

The 65 Project, an advocacy group behind efforts to discipline attorneys associated with attacks on elections, has filed a bar complaint against Dershowitz.
