I remember that as a child my family would drive to a national park and go camping & fishing... Every year! Well you can't do that now... Stay at home and watch TV!

The best fishing was at Manning Provincial Park in Canada... I caught a lot of fish and mom cooked them... One of the difference between actually doing things and watching them on TV is that: When when actually fishing, the fishes smell! After you catch the fish you have to kill it... You bend the head backwards until they spinal cord snaps... I'm not kidding! The water is really cold... The forest is filled with little chirping birds... And when you provide food for your family there's a satisfaction that is deeply biological... For millions of years humans have hunted and fished in order to survive and I was part of that chain... You don't get that on TV! 

Some other fabulous places that we drove to: Yosemite, Big Sur, Mount Lassen, the World's Fair in Seattle, Mount Shasta, Bidwell Park in Chico 

I actually drove to Seattle a couple of times... As a child we went to the World's Fair... And that was epic... It was all about the World of Tomorrow! And then later we would go there for Christmas with the family because my wife's cousins work for Boeing... Unless they didn't get the contract and then he worked for Lockheed... And then... Marijuana was legalized in the state of Washington and I was retired, had time on my hands, money in my wallet... And I went up there and ate two cannabis cookies, drank a really strong cup of coffee... And rode the Monorail to the Experience Music Pavilion... An Interactive part of the World's Fair dedicated to the history of Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain...  It had a place where you could play musical instruments with other tourists... Specifically... A long row of tuned bells that you could bang on... Very popular with the children...

Since I Don't Own a Car, all those TV advertisements are meaningless to me... Car insurance, purchasing a new car or truck, ambulance chaser lawyers, gas prices... 

I see on TV news that many people are spending a lot of money on gasoline for their cars... Not me... 

I see on TV news that many people are upset about the quality of airline travel in the USA... Not me...

I always turn the sound off when I'm watching TV news because at any instant I can turn it on and hear what they're saying but the vast majority of the time it's just insane babbling... I can't think of any circumstances when I would voluntarily want to hear what Trump has to say... Or any of his evil minions... 

So anyway, I don't hear the sound of all those automobile insurance commercials... And some of them are especially crazy... The Li Mu Emu... And there's a soap opera drama of a half a dozen people dressed in white clothes selling Progressive Auto Insurance... Since I do take a LYFT ride about four times a year, I programmed the phone number for an ambulance Chaser lawyer into my phone... One of those lawyers specializes in lawsuits involving Uber or Lyft... And that advertisement got my attention...

But it's extremely important to not have the sound on during the commercials where they're advertising doctor drugs... Accidentally I have heard the people talking in the background about the side effects... Quite often the side effects of psych meds is suicide... Gee I sure don't want to take that drug... 

And evidently there's a huge market for people that want to show off more skin when they go swimming... Tiny bikinis... Even tinier bikinis... Because if they clear up the fungus infection on their skin then they can show it off... Now that's a product that I don't think I'll ever buy...

I've Lived a "Car Free" life for decades... I rode the bus to and from work in both San Jose and Eureka... Actually, it was a lot of fun... I'd sit in the back and talk to women... Also... It's illegal to drink and drive... But there's no law about drinking and riding the bus...

another thing that's kind of funny is it now that I've already voted I'm starting to get a lot of junk mail advertising candidates... It's too late to change my mind now suckers... And there's a lot of TV advertisements... In the California governor's race there's a lot of ads promoting Tom's tires and then there's a lot of ads opposing Tom's tires... I voted for the guy who's the current mayor of San Jose... 

I must admit that my vote was swayed by the anti Tom's tires advertisements I saw last month... I figured that anyone that has a billion dollars has got a done Dirty deeds in order to get it... Investing in oil companies, for profit prisons... Income tax evasion using the Cayman Islands... 

And it bug me that for months there were at least 10 TV advertisements a day for Tom's tires when no one else was advertising at all... Proof that he had a tremendous amount of money and really wanted to buy the job of being governor of California... I can't vote for that guy... 

For your information "Tom's tires" is a joke... His real name is Tom Steyer...

When I'm watching TV I've noticed a very popular hairstyle on the women... Long blonde hair and short dark roots... They're attempting to pretend that their ancestors grew up in northern Europe but actual biology reveals that they are mud people... Their ancestors grew up a little bit closer to the Equator than they really want to admit... So they go with that Nazi look!

A little fact from world history... The Nazis were really into forced breeding of white people... They chose a lot of men soldiers that had blonde hair and then "allowed" them to impregnate women from Scandinavia... In order to breed a master race... Now that sounds like a crazy thing to do until you realize that a singer from ABBA is one of those children... Surprisingly, it's not the singer with the blonde hair... It's the other one! So no matter what kind of crazy history you got in your parents generation... Sometimes the children turn out to be excellent!

That makes me question the entire concept of genetic engineering... Maybe we should design better humans... It seems like a perfect task for artificial intelligence... You got DNA with four different bases making trillions of combinations... What if we had a machine learn how to create better people?

That's the plot of the book Brave New World by Aldous Huxley... And everybody focuses on the first half of that book... But the last half is all about him going to the American southwest and participating in peyote ceremonies... Huh!

I must say that peyote really helped a friend of mine who is a Vietnam veteran... And he was upset over the fact that men under his command died... PTSD for years... Maybe decades... But then he went to a sweat lodge and ate peyote... He had the realization that it was not his fault that the men died... It was Lyndon Johnson's fault... It was Richard Nixon's fault... And in fact, it was John F Kennedy's fault as well... The men died because they were sent Halfway Around the World to kill people for no reason... Not his choice... 

And he found inner peace... Of course... It really helped that he was an American Indian and he went to an inter-tribal event where he was accepted as a brother...

AIDS Walk 2026 New York City Today. Why? Hasn't AIDS been cured? There are many "HIV undetectable" drugs for sale... 

My TV gets local news from New York City... And I find it kind of worthy because they do a lot of interesting things there... I always had a lot of fun when I went to visit as a tourist... 

Why are they having an AIDS Walk Today? Anyone can go get a prescription for HIV undetectable medicine ( I suppose) and so AIDS would be a voluntary disease... Of course, it's always been a voluntary disease... The vast majority of the cases are with gay men and all you have to do is never participate in gay men sex... DUH... How the disease is spread has been known for over 50 years...

It is not widespread amongst gay women... 

I remember one of the smart things that Dianne Feinstein did when she was mayor of San Francisco was to close down the bath houses that were frequented by gay men... Because it was a public health hazard... Men would go there and spread AIDS to each other and then die... And as the mayor of the city she felt it was her responsibility to keep the citizens alive... Even if they behaved stupidly...

I have never seen an Outer Space Alien or a UFO but... One time I thought I did... but it turned out to be entirely explainable... Whenever I think of Shiva, I remember the Fusion reactor experiment at Lawrence Livermore Laboratory... They had 20 giant laser beams all pointed at a drop of heavy water and the idea was to make the hydrogen fuse into helium... And 50 years later it still doesn't work... But they keep on saying they're trying and we're getting closer and closer to actual Fusion that would be able to be used as an energy source for electricity...


And the actual machine at Lawrence Livermore Laboratory was used as the set for the science fiction movie Tron... They needed a futuristic looking set and so they just rented the Shiva machine for an afternoon...

I use LYFT to travel the five miles to my appointments... When I voted for governor this year I chose the mayor of San Jose instead of Tom's Tire... Cuz I keep on seeing these TV ads that say that Tom's Tire made his billion dollars doing evil stuff... And I got to figure that anybody that's got a billion dollars did a lot of horrible things to the world in order to get the money... Every single one...

I can never forgive Amazon for buying the Washington Post newspaper... That used to be a great newspaper but now it's just Republican propaganda...

I have a personal beef with Walmart... I used to order delivered food but then they snuck in an extra $10 long distance travel charge... I know that the Walmart is about 3 mi from home... But they voluntarily select to put the order together in Vacaville... Which is a long distance... But that's their choice... And so I choose to not shop there.

I've noticed that Uber is sponsoring political advertisements on TV... Why in the hell would I want to spend money at some Corporation that's doing that?

Did you know that the majority of the soldiers in the Vietnam War were volunteers? How is that possible?

I think it's just proof that the MK Ultra brainwashing program was a success... And those young people that volunteered for to go kill people for no reason were mind control robots... I have never actually met a volunteer but I meant many veterans that served in Vietnam... And I meant many people that protested against the war... But I guess the same people that currently are MAGA Morons were volunteers then...

Another alternative for volunteers is... Those people grew up listening to their fathers talk about what they did in World War II... And how when the country really needed help... They went over there and killed the Nazis and the Japanese... Saving America... And then when Vietnam came around those people thought that this this was their chance to save America... From dangerous yellow people...

Does this make any sense? JFK: "Ask not what your Country can do for You. Ask what You can do for your Country." ----> I want my country to stop doing EVIL things and making me pay for them...

There are many things that I truly appreciate... I like roads and the interstate highway system... I'm glad that we have the Fire Department... Since I was a criminal for the vast majority of my life I'm not too appreciative of the Police Department...

I'm glad that we have electricity and clean running water... I like flush toilets too... And I like the fact that I can just type on my computer and people will bring me food... Recently I've been ordering flour tortillas and sliced ham. I roll them up and it's a lovely snack... Top it off with chocolate candy... And maybe some potato chips... Bagels...

I believe that the war in Iran is idiotic. Just like the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Vietnam, Korea... "The Country" spends a lot of money and a lot of lives doing insane things... Like blowing up foreign countries... And just last week we harmed the country of Cuba by preventing any oil shipments... The electricity in that country is generated by burning oil... The cars run on gasoline...  How could wrecking Cuba possibly benefit me in any way???

And now the leader of the CIA is visiting Cuba??? Why???
