14th Amendment Prevents Trump from Running in 2024.
https://www.newsweek.com/will-donald-trump-disqualified-running-under-fourteenth-amendment-1821578The case that Donald Trump is ineligible to run for president in 2024 due to the 14th Amendment is "compelling," but "unlikely to gain broad acceptance," according to a former federal prosecutor.
Earlier this month, two prominent legal scholars wrote a 126-page report arguing Trump is "disqualified" from running for the White House again under section three of the 14th Amendment, due to his "participation in the attempted overthrow of the 2020 presidential election."

Before Trump gave them permission to spew it, Magats clung to their bigotry and isolationism in small local family caves and cult groups. But even then they believed the majority of people shared their beliefs. Believed that, like them, the majority just feared admitting it. Then came Trump and the Magats "came out" to celebrate in the streets. They were shocked to discover that their numbers were actually a minority, that the rest of the world did not join in their celebrations, did not share their beliefs. So they blustered their way through the first round of condemnations with the hope of getting converts. And, due to some technicalities, they had some limited success on a couple of issues in the evangelical religious community. But as their numbers now dwindle in the face of their false prophet's crimes and the truth, they are now confronted with two choices: keep on blustering and defending their beliefs while they slink back into their caves OR admit they were wrong all along.

Wall street is turning its back on Donald Trump. In recent days financiers who had donated hundreds of millions to the Republican Party have publicly withdrawn their support for the former president. On November 16th Stephen Schwarzman, chief executive of Blackstone, a private-equity company, said he would back someone from a “new generation” of Republicans in 2024. The same day Thomas Peterffy, founder and chairman of Interactive Brokers, said the party needed a “fresh face.” Ken Griffin, chief executive of Citadel, a hedge fund, was bluntest. On November 15th he branded Mr Trump a “three-time loser” and announced his support for Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida. Why are donors deserting the former president—and how much will it matter?

ABOUT BILL KREUTZMANN
Less extroverted than his partner in boom, Bill has been the steady beating heart of the Grateful Dead's rhythm section for forty years. His first drumming gig was keeping a beat for his mother - a teacher of dance at Stanford University - as she choreographed shows for her classes. Later he found a serious teacher in Lee Anderson, part of Ken Kesey's "Perry Lane" gang. Lee not only taught him a good deal about drumming, but served as a bohemian role model. Bill was a rock veteran by 1965, having worked in a local R & B group, The Legends, when he came to Dana Morgan's music store to teach percussion. Even then he had a swinging touch, and he was Garcia's easy first choice for the drum seat. In recent years, Bill has devoted much of his energy to things oceanic, surfing, kayaking, and diving, and in 1993 made a video, "Ocean Spirit," about a trip he made to Mexico's Revillagigedo Islands.

"The Other One" on "The Skull & Roses" album is an excellent example of his drumming... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WLTs_LyPKA

File Under: Help, I'm a Rock

On this date, March 9, 1966, Los Angeles avant garde band The Mothers of Invention, led by enigmatic guitarist Frank Zappa, began recording sessions at TTG Studios in Hollywood, California, for their debut album Freak Out! for Verve Records. Sessions carried through to March 12. Tom Wilson, who had produced Bob Dylan's "Like A Rolling Stone", produced the album. Apparently he was under the impression the band was a white blues band until they got into the studio. In Hit Parader magazine, Zappa wrote that "Wilson was sticking his neck out. He laid his job on the line by producing the album. MGM felt that they had spent too much money on the album." The album featured Zappa on vocals and guitar, along with lead vocalist/tambourine player Ray Collins, bass player/vocalist Roy Estrada, drummer/vocalist Jimmy Carl Black and guitar player Elliot Ingber (later of Captain Beefheart's Magic Band, performing there under the pseudonym "Winged Eel Fingerling").

Released on June 27, 1966, critics and music fans alike are baffled by what they heard.O ften cited as one of rock music's first concept albums, it is a satirical expression of frontman Frank Zappa's perception of American pop culture and the nascent freak scene of Los Angeles. It was also one of the earliest double albums in rock music, as well as the first two-record debut album. In the UK, the album was originally released as an edited single disc.

Although the album was initially poorly received in the United States, it gained a cult following in America, where it continued to sell in substantial quantities until it was discontinued in the early 1970s.

Freak Out! reached No. 130 on the Billboard chart and was not a critical success. Many listeners were convinced that the album was drug-inspired, and interpreted the album's title as slang for a bad LSD trip. The album earned a negative review from Pete Johnson of the Los Angeles Times, who wrote:" I guess you might call it surrealistic paintings set to music. Not content to record just two sides of musical gibberish, the MOI devote four full sides to their type of "artistry". If anyone owns this album, perhaps he can tell me what in hell is going on ... The Mothers of Invention, a talented but warped quintet, have fathered an album poetically entitled Freak Out, which could be the greatest stimulus to the aspirin industry since the income tax."

Most of us remember Joan Baez, but...who was Mimi Baez?
A hippie performer, Mimi Baez married a singer-poet Richard Farina who was one of the last beat poets and one of the first hippie poets.
He penned "been down so long it looks like up to me."
In 1969, Mimi organized the "Bread and Roses Benefit Concert, which was the first rock benefit concert for battling diseases. Sadly, Mimi lost her battle with breast cancer and passed away in 2001 RIP.
This photo is of Mimi and sister Joan Baez performing at the Newport Folk Festival back 58 years ago in 1966.
Being that it is International Women's Day today, I thought I would post this in order to acknowledge them both for working to make the world a better place for us all.
Here, the sisters visit to San Quentin prison in 1972 to sing for the inmates. A Joy to see and hear them singing together.

Mark Wujek
As a kid I went to a private catholic grade school between Kindergarten and 8th grade. I had religion class as well as the standard math, English, science, etc.
Around when I was 11 years old I was so amazed by the stories of Jesus and his miracles that I asked my teacher where could I read more about such an amazing person. I figured that there must have been others who wrote about this man. Some philosophers, historians, some emperors must have recorded these events. I wanted more.
Guess what I was told by a nun who was my religion class teacher? The only place Jesus was written about was in the Bible. Nobody else from that time wrote anything about him. I was surprised. I thought that was very strange. How could this be I asked?
Know what I was told next? Jesus was so radical that all the powers that be tried to write him out of history. At the time my very naive self was amazed. I was like no way.
Not until later on in life when I had my spiritual crisis about 12 years ago, ai decided to test my faith, and it got destroyed because there literally is no evidence to support the claims in the New Testament. The entire story of the Gospels is a myth. The first undisputed evidence for the existence of Christianity does not appear until almost 200 years after the the claims in the Bible. Nobody wrote about Jesus because he never existed as written. The entire New Testament is a fabricated lie. It never happened. You will find absolutely no evidence in any secondary contemporary sources that support the myths in the New Testament. None, and the Roman Catholic Church controlled all the knowledge back then. They preserved all the works that could have supported the legend of Jesus yet they had nothing. So they used forgery to invent Jesus. Early Christians didn't even think he was anything more than a spirit. Then generations later they invented the myth of the god-man who walked the Earth.
I did everything to try and save my faith. I was religious for 18 years. Agnostic for about another 18, but then reality could not stop the inevitable. I finally realized all religions are fiction. Every single one.
At first I felt empty. I could not believe in God anymore. I would be lying to myself and it took about a year to get used to this, And over a decade later I will never look back.
Once you see the trick religion pulls you can no longer unsee it.
As Karl Marx said religion is the opiate of the masses. If so I choose the sobriety of atheism. And this is what finally released 95% of the sadness and depression I felt. I have never felt so one with the universe. And it's why all life on this planet is one of the greatest strokes of luck in the universe. Do you know what are the odds of life getting as far as we have? They're astronomical. Almost infinitesimal yet here we are, and 90% of the planet takes it for granted because religion teaches us to see this existence as ugly with a promise of an afterlife that doesn't exist. It is the harsh truth, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Chris McKay
Mark Wujek I woke up from the collective brainwashing nearly 30 years ago. What has been seen cannot be un-seen, as they say. Letting go of old beliefs that are deeply ingrained is not easy, but it's something I feel the entire human race needs to do if we are eventually to move on to a higher level of existence.

Meneer Cuisine
Mark Wujek well not a christian myself but from what i know bible is the collection of different said books about jesus and christianity and compiled into a big book called the bible. It's simply like wikipedia nowadays.

Mark Wujek
Meneer Cuisine here's the bitter pill I had to swallow about 12 years ago. 99% of the Bible is fiction that never happened. Archeology has destroyed the narrative. There was no Exodus. We still have no evidence for any of the Old Testament patriarchs or their alleged kingdoms. It is the current consensus that monotheistic Judaism spawned organically from the polytheistic tribes already living in the Levant. As for the New Testament it is all fiction. The Jesus that everyone knows never existed.

Mark Wujek
Chris McKay the first time I told myself God doesn't exist was quite painful. I felt empty and lied to for like 6 months. It was a very strange time for me, but I grew into loving the idea that Hell does not exist. I was one of those who was absolutely terrified of the prospect that it existed.

Jeff Putra Kartono
Mark Wujek I prefer not to engage in futile debates, but it's quite easy to find collective evidence on the internet, regardless of your beliefs.
https://bigthink.com/thinking/was-jesus-real/

Alyson Walker
Meneer Cuisine yes, but nowhere else are there any writings. That's like 20 of your friends worrying zines, then putting them all into a book together. But no one else cares or noticed those 20 people's stories while they were alive, so nothing else was reported on what they wrote. So, there's no supporting data to verify anything they claim. It would just be an anthology of fiction.

Douglas Thorburn
Mark Wujek you claim that there were no kingdoms or patriarchs of the Old Testament is false... you need to research your archaeology a bit better. There is lots of evidence. As for Jesus ... my feeling is its a fake name ... to protect the family of the man who was that prophet that got crucified ... with lots of other prophets for that matter. The stories contradict each other and they only took about half of the actual books to make the New Testament. Yes the stories are also very embellished and were put together for Constantine for political reasons a hundred plus years after the supposed facts. Which are not facts ... just stories. Most of the Bible stories are for social and moral purposes and not meant to be taken as historical fact though they are based on some historic truths that have actually been shown to fit into archaeology discoveries. The story of Jesus also has an odd similarity to an ancient Egyptian story. These religious teachings are to keep the masses of people in check and give them some sort of moral compass. The religious leaders have been corrupted by the power this gives them and twisted things into fear and extortion at times. That is the negative side of religion. Power corrupts. Do onto others as you would have done to you will always be the best way to live and fits into every religion.

Adlc Tan
Mark Wujek what if hell exists then you'll just go booohooo..for some believing there's no hell is their license to do offensive things and they rationalize evil deeds for a lack of consequence. How covenient! I'd rather believe there's hell only to find out it doesnt exist than to make myself believe it does not only to find out it does exist.

Mark Wujek
Douglas Thorburn there isn't any evidence for any of the OT patriarchs. Moses is considered a fictional character and the Exodus is pure myth. Never happened. That is the current consensus. We have zero evidence for Abraham, his kids, King David, Solomon, like absolutely nothing. Then you don't even understand that Jesus is derived from Yeshua.
The Tel Dan stele is the closest possible piece of evidence for an OT patriarch, and it also isn't a slam dunk.
It does not prove King David existed.
https://vridar.org/2011/07/19/does-the-tel-dan-inscription-prove-david-to-be-a-historical-person/

Douglas Thorburn
Mark Wujek Like I said , most of the OT is to be taken as moralist stories and not historic fact and its pretty hard to have proof of actual people when their cities are destroyed and people scattered. We now know of mines for Solomon's era but they aren't gold ... they are copper which was valuable enough for the Egyptians to invade and take over. I doubt the David story but he may have won a battle with the Philistines who now we know were some of the Sea People and eventually settled what is now Palestine. That whole era around 1100 BCE is a huge upheaval and we have lots left to learn about the mass social changes. The destruction was unprecedented and any writing about it is worth investigating ... even the twisted stories of the Bible. As for Jesus you don't' know sht. All I see in your posts is speculation and no proof either. The concept of the name is in the meaning of that name you think explains him but only goes further to lead me to my belief that its a fake name for an actual person and is to protect his actual family. It could apply to absolutely any prophet or today celebrity that changes their name so they are no longer associated with their real family. As for Jericho the walls are down but highly unlikely done by trumpets .... some twisted facts but mostly just bed time stories. Not to be 100% believed or dismissed. Only biased people do either.
Keep researching and your mind open.

People who lie, I just don't get it. Isn't it extremely embarrassing for others to know you are lying (and we do know)? Besides the fact I just see no sense in lying unless it is to protect someone from serious harm and even then it would be difficult for me, I would be so humiliated if I ever lied and someone knew I was lying. I am an extremely vague person because it would be rare someone would comprehend my life without misjudging and making wrong assumptions, but I won't lie. I just don't get how it's just nothing to some people to lie all the time and feel no embarrassment or shame.
