Well, I Declined because... MY EYESIGHT IS FINE... and... I'm Not a Diabetic... I'm Borderline and have been borderline for over a decade... I Test my Blood Sugar every day and every day the results are in the GREEN ZONE... I Might Become Diabetic IN THE FUTURE but Right Now... In My Humble Opinion.. The Trip to the Eye Doctor is BOGUS... I did go to the FOOT DOCTOR "because I'm Diabetic" and that was a really short visit... Just In, Doctor said NO PROBLEM and Out... Could it be a referral just to get More Money from Medicare? A Way to Increase Profit? A Flim-Flam? and the part that is Really Important is that BY VISITING THAT WAITING ROOM, I EXPOSED MYSELF TO OTHER PATIENTS THAT COULD HAVE COMMUNICABLE DISEASES. Something to Think About... My Believing the Doctor's Lies Put Me In Danger...

Great Book: "Horse Soldiers" by Doug Stanton. History of American War in Afghanistan starting 9/11/2001. It Explains what the MISSION Was.

The Mission was to capture Osama bin Laden. Of course, he is dead now and there IS NO REASON for the US Military to continue this pointless war. EXCEPT for the fact that we are protecting the Opium Crop... Harvest has increased yield since we invaded. Opioid deaths have increased in the USA... That's Cause and Effect... We help grow the plants and our own people die. WHY?

The terrain of Afghanistan is a lot like Colorado and most of the fighting happened in a roadless area.
That's why the soldiers hired horses owned by the locals to travel to the battles. Sadly, the US Military did not train the soldiers how to ride a horse... oops... AND the saddles were designed for riders that were much shorter... double oops... It's as if the US Military had no clue as to where they were going...

Our war in Afghanistan has increased the production of opium therefore increasing US deaths due to heroin overdoses.

The USA consumes 80% of the world's heroin. If we simply got out of Afghanistan and let the people there run their own country the Opium Crop would be reduced as it's against the Koran to grow it... Trump is Right - We are Losing the War. We ought to simply surrender just like we did in Vietnam and Nicaragua. That would reduce US deaths from Heroin and Soldier Suicide.

As you can see from the UN Chart above our war has increased the crop yield: Up to the year 2000 the Russians were at war in Afghanistan. Then in 2001 the people of Afghanistan ruled their own country. Then the USA invaded and crop production increased. Most of that Opium eventually comes to America and kills people here.
