When It's Too Cold, Turn Off the Air Conditioning... We Could Save a LOT of Electricity if OSHA Didn't Require That Public Buildings Run The A/C When It's Already Too Cold.

At Work We Had the Freedom to place an Electric Space Heater under our Desks. So the Air Conditioning was Running AT THE SAME TIME as the Space Heaters. Using Vast Amounts of Power... as the Heaters Fought the Coolers!

About Half the Time, the Weather Outside is Fine... No Need to Run an Air conditioner OR a Heater... Just Leave those Machines OFF, Using Zero Energy. Just Open a Window and Enjoy the Fresh Air...

In Modern Office Buildings The Windows Do Not Open and The Thermostat is Set by OSHA Regulation.

I worked for Years in an Office Where the Thermostat was Locked inside a Box to Prevent Employees from Changing the Temperature. OFTEN The Setting was WRONG and People took Action to Correct it.

We Found that The Plastic Box Around the Thermostat Could be Defeated Using a Fingernail File... Look at YOUR Thermostat in YOUR Office... so we changed the temperature AND NEVER TOLD THE BOSS... "It's Magic! I Have NO IDEA How The Thermostat Changed... " and It's a Classic Example of a MAN designing a Machine and TOTALLY FORGETTING THAT A COMMON TOOL could defeat the Machine... Because Only a WOMAN has a Fingernail File in her Purse... HA HA!

Adobe Houses are Very Energy Efficient and Quiet. Thick Mud Walls stay Cool in the Summer, Warm in the Winter. AND THEY RESIST FOREST FIRES... Tile Roofs Don't Burn!

When we rebuild Paradise and Santa Rosa, California it might be an Opportunity to Use Smart Design Ideas. I remember going inside the Mission Santa Clara on a Hot Summer Day... It was Cool... and Dark... Stained Glass Windows...

Solar Powered Street Lights Would Save a LOT of Electricity Currently Being Generated in Coal, Natural Gas and Atomic Power Plants and Distributed Using the Grid. WASTEFUL and DANGEROUS... POWER LINES CAUSE FOREST FIRES.

Nothing NEW Needs to Be Invented... We Ought to Simply Replace the Millions of Old Style Street Lights... With Solar Cells and LED Lamps... The Concept of Generating Power in One Central Location and Distributing it to the User is Quite Wasteful... Some Electricity JUST VANISHES over the Long Distance... and DANGEROUS because the Wires Start Forest Fires... PG&E Power Company Just Burned the Entire Town Of Paradise, CA... and It Caused the Company to Go Bankrupt. Distributing Power From a Central Generator is an Obsolete Idea. What if Every House had Solar Panels on the Roof That Provided Enough Electricity to UNPLUG FROM THE GRID...

I went to a Lot of Anti-War Protest Marches in Washington DC During George Bush The Father's Iraq War. Including Tripping on LSD in Lafayette Park... and Walking to the Lincoln Memorial... Where we were FACED WITH A CHOICE... The Parade permit expired at 4 PM and anyone In The Street at 4:01 Would be Arrested... WELL, Should I Get Arrested? or Not? Would going to Jail be "A Trippy Experience?" - I chose to NOT get arrested and spent the rest of my Trip in the Smithsonian...

I also got to play the drums in Lafayette Park... in Big Drum Circles...Including a Big Bass Drum Used in a Marching Band...

A guy said: I'm tired, YOU play this for a while... and That was EPIC...

They’re rejecting him not because of the countless ways in which he inflamed and imperiled this country, not because he’s an offense to decency and an enemy of democracy, not because he degrades almost anything and anyone he brushes up against.

They’re just peeved at his losing streak.

It’s about math, not morals, and for that reason, there will quite possibly be a next Trump and a Trump after that.

I don’t mean Ivanka, his fair-weather fair-haired daughter, whose self-absorption is self-evident in the studied distance she now keeps from dotty old Dad.

I don’t mean Don Jr., who has her gift for grift but not her guile.

I mean someone whose case to Republicans is about the attainment of power, not the exercise of principle, which the party torched in its dance with the Donald.

As best as I can tell, it hasn’t learned any lesson from that.

It’s just trying to plot a path out of the ashes.

Fireplace inside the Historic Hotel at Crater Lake. After spending a night there I checked out and when I left... there was a solid sheet of Ice covering everything... so there was NO DRIVING POSSIBLE... and there was also NO WALKING TO MY VAN Either... so I turned Right around and went back to the Front Desk and Told 'em I wasn't leaving after all... and they gave me Stationary and Envelopes and I sat and Wrote letters to my Family while observing the Fire... then I ate a fine Breakfast... and The Ice had Melted...
