President Donald Trump criticized longtime ally Jeanine Pirro Saturday after she agreed to drop a case against a former Olympic canoeist who was accused of vandalizing the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.
“I disagree 100% with Jeanine Pirro, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, on the Reflecting Pool. I don’t know what she was thinking?” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post, adding “it was a pure case of VANDALISM.” - ABC NEWS

BREAKING: Jim Acosta Just Caught Trump in His Reflecting Pool Lie
Trump's reflecting pool vandalism story just collapsed, and Jim Acosta caught the whole thing on camera.
For weeks, Trump insisted that vandals sliced a 300-foot gash into the lining of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. He claimed "thugs" pulled up the floor of the pool with great force. He blamed Democrats. He promised the evidence would come out in court. Five people were arrested and five more were cited by U.S. Park Police over the alleged attack.
This week, the pool was finally drained. So Acosta went down to see the damage for himself.
There is no gash. There are no slashes. There is no sign of the massive vandalism Trump described. What Acosta found instead was peeling, disintegrating paint from Trump's own botched $14 million renovation, the same shoddy work that turned the water neon green with algae just weeks after it reopened.
"The only thing that's been exposed is that Trump has been lying about this," Acosta reported.
This is not the first time Acosta has checked Trump's story against reality. Weeks ago, he walked more than 4,000 steps around the perimeter of the pool searching for the gash Trump kept describing. He never found it. The White House responded the way it always does when someone brings facts instead of flattery, calling him "one of the dumbest individuals to have ever existed" from an official government account.
But insults are not evidence. And now the drained pool has settled the question for good.
Real people were arrested over this story. Acosta says Trump owes them an apology, because the person actually responsible for the mess at the Reflecting Pool is the one who signed off on the failed renovation in the first place.
The pool is empty. So is Trump's story.
