Isn't it obvious that statements like "radical Leftist lunatics who hate America damaged the reflecting pool but we wll Restore it" are paving the way this November for something along the lines of "liberal domestic terrorists tried to rig the Elections but we will accurately Count the Votes to save America" yada yada? He simply throws words words words at an issue, with no evidence—just a slew of nonsensically-capitalized cliches—and this justifies action, no matter how illegal, for which the repercussions are always zero. When the federal government recounts the votes “accurately” and determines that, sure enough, it was those domestic terrorists, and *voila,* the Republicans won everything, there will be outcries, and protests (which he will denounce as antifa or some such), maybe a court decision or two (which he will ignore), but mark my word, he has no intention of letting free elections shift the balance of Congress, no matter what it takes. Fingers crossed I'm wrong.

Last year, she joined her New Jersey colleagues in conducting a routine congressional oversight visit of Delaney Hall, an ICE detention facility in her district, after reports of detainees being unable to reach their lawyers.

Their delegation was met with resistance and aggression from ICE agents, and afterwards, the Trump administration charged LaMonica with completely baseless criminal charges. If convicted, she faces up to 17 years in prison.

Trump’s attacks against a sitting Congresswoman who refused to look away are unprecedented and dangerous. We must fight back for LaMonica and for the future of our democracy.

What appears to be millions of bottles of water — delivered by FEMA for victims of Hurricane Maria — have sat unused on a runway in Puerto Rico since last year. At this point, the water is presumed to be unfit for drinking.

20,000 pallets of bottled water left untouched in storm-ravaged Puerto Rico

The stockpile of bottled water stretches down an unused runway in Ceiba. Case after case, pallet piled upon pallet, blue tarps and plastic glinting in the sun.

The emergency supplies were brought in by FEMA in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, which smashed the island and left its residents without power, without roofs and without running water.
Federal officials commandeered the area in the far east of the island last fall as a staging ground, collecting the water and containers full of tarps to patch damaged and destroyed roofs in surrounding neighborhoods.
And there the supplies sat. And sat. Storm survivors were collecting spring water from the mountains for cooking and bathing, even with the threat of disease that brought.
