Travel North From San Francisco over the Golden Gate Bridge on Highway 101... Using Exit 663, Turn Onto the Avenue of the Giants at Dyerville. Take a Left Going Towards Honeydew (you drive under the Highway). Follow the Lower Bull Creek Flats Road to the Mattole Road. Follow it on to Honeydew, Petrolia, The Lost Coast, Ferndale and then Fernbridge... Continue Your Journey North to Eureka, Arcata and Oregon... 
How to get to the Mateel Area of Humboldt County...

another way to get there...

 Take Highway 101 South from Eureka, California...  take Highway 211 Right at Fernbridge, drive over the bridge... to Victorian Ferndale. Drive down main street and make a Right at Ocean Drive (at the Big Hotel )... Left on Wildcat Ave (sign points to Capetown, Petrolia)... drive over the mountain to the Pacific Ocean.... Where cattle graze on the beach... Keep on Going and Eventually You get to the Avenue of the Giants...


Beyond Counterculture is the History of the Hippies who fled The Haight Ashbury District of San Francisco and Moved to Southern Humboldt County to Earn their living farming Cannabis. Originally a Doctoral thesis.

Between the Eel and Matole Rivers, Garberville and the Lost Coast.
Mateel is a Sunny and Warm.
Once PALCO logged the area, the land was really cheap. Perfect for growing Marijuana Outdoors. This location is Not on Google Streetview.
