One of the most Successful of the Hippie Communes was "The Farm" in Tennessee... Most simply Moved North in California to Marin County, Mendocino, Humboldt and Southern Oregon. Someday I want to drive the Back Road from California To Oregon thru Bigfoot Country. Start at Arcata, California and take #299 into the Trinity Alps. Take a Left at #96 in Willow Creek and Drive thru the Hoopa Reservation... Just Keep on Going Past the Marble Mountains Wilderness Area and Take a LEFT at Happy Camp... on a Squiggly Road (with No Number on Google Maps) to Takilma, Oregon... Eventually You will Intersect with #199 at O'Brien... about halfway between Crescent City and Grants Pass. UP THERE in the Mountains near Hoopa is a Historic Hippie Commune called Black Bear Ranch? and another place Just inside the State of Oregon that is Famous for their Marijuana Farms and an entire "Back to the Land" Town, Takilma.

Many people simply cannot afford a car at all and they use UBER or LYFT. More people are Fixing what they already own or buying Used Cars. While tRUMP Loudly Proclaims that the Economy is BOOMING! in fact, that is only felt by the Ruling Class. People that OWN STOCK benefit by the Stock Market Going Up. The 99% Don't Own Stock. The GDP (a measure of how much money Corporations are Making) is UP and People that OWN Corporations are Doing Great! People that WORK at Corporations are NOT. You have the Opportunity to work for LESS than Minimum wage, no vacation, no health insurance and... IF YOU HAVE AN AUTO ACCIDENT, YOU ARE SUDDENLY OUT OF BUSINESS. The More You Drive, the More Likely you are to Have and Accident... and get Hurt... so, in the Marvelous "GIG" economy... there you are in the Hospital... unable to Work and unable to pay your Doctor Bills.
