In an interview with the Sinclair Broadcast Group, Wheeler said the EPA believes that freezing auto standards for five years “will save over 1,000 lives a year.” The acting administrator also claimed the American consumer will save $500 billion over the course of the regulation.

Both claims are false. 

1. Requiring Auto Makers to improve fuel efficiency will have no effect on safety. None at all. He just made that claim up... 

2. Getting more miles per gallon will save people money as they will pay less for gasoline. 

Wheeler’s interview with Sinclair Broadcast Group chief political analyst Boris Epshteyn is a “must-run” segment. All of the conservative media company’s 178 local TV news stations are required to broadcast the interview with Wheeler.

The Plan: Lie on Television and Keep on repeating those lies again and again and again... many people will eventually BELIEVE the lies just because they have heard them so often...

What really is happening is that Corporate Profits will Increase if Car Companies do not have to comply with tough fuel efficiency standards. People will be harmed because we will have to pay more for gas, we will have to import more oil from Saudi Arabia and we will pollute more causing climate change. More cars and Trucks will be imported from Fuel efficient factories in Europe and Asia...

Let's NOT change fuel efficiency standards because it is good for PEOPLE to get better gas mileage. 

It would cost less money at the pump to buy less gas. It would put less pollution in the air. It would keep American Cars competitive in comparison to fuel efficient foreign cars and trucks. We would import less oil from the Middle East... 


In general, Trump's ideas about modifying fuel efficiency standards are insane. They are LYING.

In General, California has stricter standards and car makers comply to California Requirements instead of designing two different styles of cars, one for California and One for the other states.
