That morning began like so many others. Renee Nicole Good walked her youngest child into school, shared a goodbye, and turned back toward home. It was a quiet, loving routine she had done countless times before. She never knew it would be the last thing she would ever do for her son. Hours later, he was still waiting at school, believing his mother would return for him, unaware that her life had already been taken away.
Renee was only 37 when she passed away early Wednesday in a peaceful Minnesota neighborhood. To her family, she was not a story or a statistic — she was a mother whose entire world revolved around her children. She was raising three of them: a teenage daughter, a teenage son, and her 6-year-old boy. Staying home with them was her purpose. Everything she did was about keeping them safe, loved, and supported.
Those closest to Renee describe her as gentle and calm, someone who avoided arguments and chose kindness instead. Her former spouse said she lived quietly and never sought conflict. Faith shaped her from childhood, beginning in Colorado Springs where she grew up active in church and youth missions. Music filled her early years, and later she found comfort in words, earning an English degree in 2020 and receiving recognition for her poetry.
Renee Nicole Good will be remembered for the way she lived — as a devoted mother, a thoughtful writer, a loving daughter, and a gentle soul whose kindness touched everyone around her.
