Great Book: "Dawn of the New Everything" - Encounters with Reality and Virtual Reality by Jaron Lanier. He makes a LOT of Sense.

I saw him on BOOK TV and his understanding of Tech makes difficult ideas understandable. For one thing, Artificial Intelligence DOES NOT EXIST. It's just fast looking up of People's Knowledge... There are no thinking machines. For Example: Wikipedia is Just the Collected Beliefs of Humanity. The Internet is not alive... Tech People are suffering from Womb Envy... We WISH we could create life, but we can't.

The Business Model of Facebook is to reward Attention Attractors. People are motivated to post words and pictures that will attract "Likes." People that attract a LOT of attention get PAID MONEY by advertisers. Others, crave "Likes" because it Strokes their Ego. This Entire System ENCOURAGES BAD BEHAVIOR.
