I'm not necessarily one for airy fairy peace and love (although what's the harm in it), but the negative, bitter comments in this group are totally bewildering. And I get it, we're all bitter and ecstatic, happy and sad, excitable and bored at one time or another, but there just seems to be a massive lack of awareness in some people and plain rudeness and arrogance for the sake of it - and not out of some divine need to be honest. It wouldn't be so bad if there was something to learn amongst it all. Why anybody would stay a part of this group, I don't know. Maybe I've just joined at a bad time. For me it was 11 years ago when I was 19. I was staring at the religion & spirituality section of a Barnes & Nobles for several minutes when a stranger came up to me and handed me a copy of Be Here Now. All he said was “This is a good place to start” and walked away. Cant tell you how many copies of that book I have bought and given away trying to keep that rhythm going lol. Anyways Ram Dass has really stuck with me like no other teacher 💜

FG SAID: For me it was 27 years ago, when I was 13. I found a copy of Be Here Now at a Barnes and Nobles bookstore. By the time I was finished reading it, I had my first "Awakening" experience. I'm now on my 5th copy of Be Here Now, having loaned (or given away, rather) the previous 4 copies. Truly, Baba Ram Dass changed my life.

In 1987 I was 17 & my friend Lynn had a metaphysical bookstore. An OG copy of Be Here Now was on the used book rack - cover price $3.33. I have carried that book with me everywhere I have moved. It's like a member of my family. I recently learned that he and I both lived in Marin at the same time, around when he had his stroke. I'm not sure if I knew what he looked like then. I spent a lot of time at another metaphysical bookstore in San Rafel and I wonder now if we were there at the same time and I didn't know it. Life is strange.

I remember a "Teach In" at Humboldt State University by members of a Local Church... A man said "There is only one way to get what you want. Jesus. You can't get what you want by taking Drugs and You can't get what you want by Mountain Climbing." - What he FAILED to consider was Taking Drugs While Mountain Climbing. Both. At the same time...

I remember Hiking to the top of El Capitan in Yosemite on LSD. As I Got Higher in Elevation, I got Higher! Then, at the top I wanted to look over the edge but the entire mountain seemed to be doing a dance... so I wriggled on my belly to the edge and observed the wonders of nature... BLISS! Sure more interesting than going to Church... BUT... Whatever Floats Your Boat! I also remember later that day sitting on the top of the two story BUS cruising over to the Trail to Vernal and Nevada Falls... I "Became" a bear and slapped a fish out of the water... and ate it... Of Course, That was a a Hallucination but... and interesting experience... Being a Bear... 

This man also said that Premarital Sex was a SIN... and you shouldn't do it. OBVIOUSLY FALSE. Premarital Sex is a Blessing... and it causes the couple to love each other more... That's because we are MAKING LOVE... Actually Creating Love...

Letter to the Editor: Wake Up America! President Donald Trump has made America the laughing stock among the world’s nations. What induces us to stand behind a man who cannot open his mouth without lying? Why would anyone want to do business or associate with someone who cannot be trusted, has no values and cannot maintain a position on anything?

I can no longer ignore my exasperation concerning the upcoming Presidential election. How in God’s name can the good people of this nation continue to support our President?

This man has made every effort to dismantle the fabric of our society. He has appointed foxes to guard the hen houses of every cabinet department, many of whom come from the very industries that have been regulated by the departments they are now in charge of.

President Donald Trump has made America the laughing stock among the world’s nations. What induces us to stand behind a man who cannot open his mouth without lying? Why would anyone want to do business or associate with someone who cannot be trusted, has no values and cannot maintain a position on anything?

Anyone who professes to follow the teachings of Jesus and also supports Mr. Trump is a hypocrite. Though Jesus preached forgiveness, he also asked that we repent of our sins. Has Donald Trump ever apologized for any of his acts of calculated evil?

That Trump is a puppet of Mr. Putin is indisputable. He believes Putin’s denial of Russia’s well documented meddling in our election over the facts supplied by every one of our intelligence agencies. He has taken funds our Congress designated for military aid to the Ukraine to help them fend off further Russian aggression and diverted them to pay for his “Great Wall.” He has outed a high-level Russian who was a long time source of vital inside information and put that man and his family in imminent danger. We were forced to extract them to safety and lose any future intelligence he could have supplied.  

To ignore this behavior in a trade for Supreme Court appointments he has made placing men with fundamentalist agendas in power is a devil’s bargain.

The President is blatantly pilfering great wealth from our military budget, ordering our Air Force to refuel at a commercial airport in Scotland, and boarding airmen in his nearby resort.

I could go on for much longer but doubt that there would be column space for it. 

I was a Member of the Retail Clerk's Union and I Support Joe Biden... Who ELSE in the Union is a Biden Supporter? Let's ask the Union Leadership to Make a Stand for Real American Family Values like: Telling the Truth.

What IF All Unions Supported Biden?
Trump is a Criminal and an Adulterer... That's why they call him Individual-1 in Michael Cohen's Felony Sentencing Papers... Both of them Broke the LAW, and Michael is Going to Prison on Monday, 5/6/2019... So Far, Trump Has Evaded Incarceration...
