We heard Jesse Jackson speak at the Lincoln Memorial...My brother-in-law, Ray Chapin, drove up from Missouri because he wanted to hear that anniversary of the Dr Martin Luther King I Have a Dream speech... Since my family had an open invitation to come stay rent-free at my condo and I'd drive them anywhere to go do the tourist things... I was glad to go... We were about halfway down the reflecting pool towards the Washington Monument... And they had loud speakers about every 100 yards... And that meant that the echo echo echo prevented us from understanding of single word that Jesse Jackson said... But he had that black preacher timing... And so we had fun...
