Great Movie: "The Day The Earth Stood Still" a 2008 remake with Keanu Reeves (Star of The Matrix)... Of Course, the 1951 film is still a Classic.

Surprising to me this remake was wonderful. In an era where Hollywood makes endless remakes of successful films and most are terrible... This one is Great! Basically, an alien spaceship comes to Earth and decides that humans need to be destroyed because of the ecological devastation we are inflicting on the planet. They feel that maybe if all the Humans died, animals, plants and fish would be better lifeforms... Take better care of the planet and maybe evolve into a high quality species... Makes sense...

Maybe Humans are a Cancer... Like they were in The Matrix...

but then the hero is convinced that Humans Can Change and stop destroying the planet...

 I really am enjoying internet access and expressing my opinions to the public. 

I had a great NA meeting and I actually spoke. Often I am silent but the subject was doing service and I have practical experience doing service for fellow AA members in Chico. 

I also have been writing an Autobiography for the Facebook Group. "Things I remember growing up in Los Gatos"

I was very active a couple of years ago in this group and uploaded everything I remembered but all those posts are not visible as Facebook only shows the last few weeks of data. THIS TIME, I'm saving a copy to my google blog, my wordpress site, tumblr, Pinterest, Deviant Art and twitter... 

I'm also copying and pasting the best of vandergreg.com and updating the words to reflect my latest views... All my websites since 1997 have been saved at The Internet Archive...

When the Internet becomes conscious... it will have every opinion of mine and an autobiography so it can easily build... whatever life form comes after the singularity... I wonder what we will be called... MEME? IDURU?

I'm a big fan of science fiction but I'm even more enthusiastic about science face.

I oppose the US war against the Philippine Islands. Bombing people causes the survivors to join anti US groups.

Why don't we just let those people over there solve their own problems? We don't need to help ISIS with their recruiting drive... DUH.

It reminds me of Endless War in George Orwell's book 1984. We already have Endless War in Afghanistan already, why start another futile bombing crusade? It's all just a marketing trick to help defense contractors sell useless stuff to the Pentagon. That's why we armed ISIS in the first place. OOPS, it was an accident. Now we can bomb people in the name of Freedom. What a racket.
