When you can't plug in your electronic device into the wall because the plugs are a different size... Check to see if the Voltage Matches...

If you plug a 110 volt device (USA) into a 220 Wall socket you will get Fire... broken device... electric shock hazard... GOTO your local electronics store and get the correct transformer/plug combo... often they sell them at airport gift shops.

FYI: Nicola Tesla invented Alternating Current Power Distribution... He had a competition with Thomas Edison to see whose system could deliver electricity from Niagara Falls to New York City. Tesla's AC was Better that Edison's DC because of power loss...

Then we wired the USA using 110 Volts... Then when Europe was wired they discovered that 220 was more efficient... That's why Europe is 220 Volts...

and then on The Teenage Jeopardy Game Show... the Teenagers Didn't Know Tesla's Name... Even though the clue was about AC power AND THE CAR FACTORY IN FREMONT, CA... where they make the Tesla Cars. They Guessed Edison and Ford... Go Figure...
