There were dozens of historians who lived in the Mediterranean throughout the supposed life of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. None of them so much as mentioned Jesus, his family or his followers.
Wouldn’t you think someone who was immaculately conceived, who performed miracles, was revered by thousands and hated by thousands more, someone who was publicly crucified and resurrected from death, wouldn’t he be mentioned by name at least once outside the bible?
There is simply no credible evidence whatsoever for the existence of Jesus. No archaeological evidence, no written evidence, nothing. So it is with Solomon, Moses, David, Abraham, Samson and countless other biblical ‘stars’. All we have are the Levite texts and the Gospel stories in their various versions.
Jerusalem was a major trade route at that time, so if what the bible says about Jesus was true, his miracles would have certainly come to the attention of foreign travelers and been recorded somewhere. It was also under Roman control and the Romans documented everything of even minute importance that took place within their empire. Yet no one recorded a single word about him. It is true that the Romans later suppressed and destroyed practically every religious and philosophical writing in existence that opposed their sanctioned Christian doctrines, but they would have had no cause to suppress information about the Jesus figure. They were the ones who invented the “Jesus is God in the flesh” fraud in the first place.
Christian apologist can only point to four sources in their desperate attempt to manufacture extra-biblical literary evidence for Jesus (and hope to retain a hint of credibility) and these writers were not even alive during his supposed lifetime. They are Josephus, Pliny, Tacitus and Suetonius. Yet, these sources are nothing more than pious frauds acknowledged by all but the most misleading of apologists.
It is not possible to find in any legitimate religious or historical writings compiled between the beginning of the first century and well into the fourth century any reference to Jesus Christ and the spectacular events that the Church says accompanied his life.

I never submit a post expecting a theist to respond, in fact, I’m fine if they don’t. I think you would be surprised at the number of people who still think of themselves as a person of faith that come into these groups, not looking to defend their belief, but because they are starting to have doubts and their curiosity brings them here. There is nothing I could say to a theist that will ever get them to change their mind. They are too locked in and will never concede their position or give an atheist the satisfaction that they are making sense. I know this because I was one of these stubborn believers at one time. The religious need to come to atheism on their own, through their own research, discovery and conclusions. Anything you present to them only becomes a test for their faith, and the more they resist, the more virtuous they think they are. It needs to seep in overtime. So in my posts, I merely present the kind of information that made me think, question and eventually doubt, all in the solitude of my own mind. The process of leaving a belief system doesn't happen overnight and only comes after many years of hearing the other side. That’s what happened to me. It's the constant chipping away of previously held beliefs that allowed so many former Christians to take that first step. When we look at the long list of former priests and preachers who have stepped away, it only occurred after opening up their minds and allowing those first seeds to be planted. That’s all posts like mine try to do is plant those seeds of doubt. Posting memes telling Christians that they are morons or where they are wrong will never help in converting one. They will just dig their heels in that much deeper and your words get lost in their resentment. Most religious people live in a bubble and are never exposed to anything that might challenge their beliefs. Just by being in groups like this one, they are exposing themselves to information that they won't find in church, other Christian groups and definitely not at home. There will always be those that will never accept anything that threatens their dogma, and those people can never be flipped. But virtually all former Christians began at some point to question their faith, and sometimes all it takes is something they read that started the ball rolling. And who knows, someday down the road the accumulative effect of information they may have read on my page and others might actually be that spark that opened their minds and allowed them to let go and appreciate life from a new perspective. That's what happened to me, so I know it’s possible. I hope this answered your question.
