Assignment Record – Rev. Garrett "Gary" D. Orr, s.j.
Summary of Case: Orr was accused in the fall of 2003 of having molested one of his Georgetown Preparatory students in 2002. The school didn't report the accusation to the police until May 2004. He was not charged at the time. Although "suspended", Orr was allowed involvement in Campus Ministry and to direct a musical production at Loyola College in Maryland. A Jesuit review board deemed the accusation to be "substantially true" in 2006. Another man reported to the police in 2010 that Orr sexually abused him when he was a Georgetown Prep student in 1989. Police investigated, reopened the previous case, and arrested Orr in January 2011 on charges of sexually abusing the two students. Orr pleaded guilty and was sentenced in November 2011 to five years' probation. He was also ordered to register as a sex offender.

Kavanaugh pal Mark Judge verbally defended a priest at Georgetown Prep...
Judge has since come to Kavanaugh’s defense with emphatic declarations about their lives at Georgetown Prep. But one fellow classmate is calling Judge out for his history of victim-shaming.
According to a Facebook post by Eric Ruyak, Judge went on the attack after Ruyak alleged a priest from Georgetown Prep molested him.
“For those of you who don’t know, I went to Georgetown Prep, where both Kavanaugh and Gorsuch went as well,” wrote Ruyak. “When I came forward with allegations regarding Gary Orr, a former priest, sexually assaulting me…Mark Judge (Kavanaugh’s friend in this who despicable story of sexual assault) reached out to alums saying that Gary Orr was a great priest and that I had obviously been corrupted by liberalism into a homosexual and therefore was most definitely lying.”
Years later, Orr admitted to raping many children and Georgetown Prep confessed to the incident in a letter to parents and students.
