Actually, You Can Change the Words to say Whatever You Want! "Get Mad King Donald Out Of Portland" Or... "I LOVE SUSAN" Or... "Why Not Minot?" (For your information, Minot, North Dakota is where they send people in the Air Force that have been "behaving badly" but not doing crimes worthy of being dishonorably discharged... The weather in Minot, North Dakota is just astonishingly cold! So it's an Air Force joke!)

Oregon Sen. Ron Wyden said Saturday morning that President Trump is trying to create conflict in Portland.

“Trump is launching an authoritarian takeover of Portland hoping to provoke conflict,” said Wyden. “I urge Oregonians to reject Trump’s attempt to incite violence in what we know is a vibrant and peaceful city.”

My own personal experience with Portland is it's Pretty Mellow... It's probably the last place in the United States that needs an invasion by the National Guard... In fact, it's not "War Ravaged" at all! Trump's just fighting imaginary enemies... In his disease brain, Portland is in some kind of crisis... Well that's just not true... He's reacting to a psychotic fantasy world... I've heard that it's difficult to make wise decisions when you've totally lost contact with reality... Prove me wrong...

What can one person do to help get Trump's National Guard out of Portland?

To help address the deployment of federal troops to Portland, individuals can engage in political action, support legal challenges, and get involved with local organizing efforts. The current situation involves federal authorities, including National Guard members called into federal service, and requires pressure at multiple levels of government. This is distinct from the 2020 protests, where different federal officers were deployed.
Here are specific actions one person can take:

1. Contact and pressure elected officials
Direct communication with elected representatives is a primary way to influence policy. The National Guard units involved have been called into federal service by the President, but state and local officials are actively opposing the deployment.
Contact federal representatives:Call and write to your members of Congress (House and Senate) to express opposition to the use of federal military forces in Portland. Ask them to pressure the White House or use their legislative authority to intervene.
Contact the White House to state your opposition to the deployment.

Contact Oregon state officials:
Contact the Oregon Governor's office and your state legislators to show support for their efforts to remove the federal troops. This reinforces local opposition to the deployment.
Support the legal actions filed by the state of Oregon against the federal government.

2. Support local organizing and legal efforts
Organizations and local leaders are at the forefront of the opposition.Find and support local groups that are organizing protests and advocating against the federal presence. Peaceful protests can amplify local voices and show widespread opposition.
Donate to legal defense funds or civil liberties organizations, such as the ACLU, which may be involved in challenging the deployment in court. Oregon's Attorney General has already filed a federal lawsuit.

Spread information and raise awareness by sharing credible updates and information from local news sources and city officials. Use social media to inform others and encourage them to take action.

3. Participate in peaceful protests and rallies
Local demonstrations are a key way to show solidarity and opposition to the federal deployment. Attend local, peaceful rallies to add your voice to the collective opposition. Many Portland residents and leaders have already organized protests against the federal presence.
Follow safety guidelines and be aware of your rights as a protester. Peaceful protest is a constitutional right, though restrictions can apply in certain areas.

4. Educate yourself and others
Understanding the specifics of the situation can help you argue your points more effectively.Learn about the legal basis for the deployment and the arguments against it. The use of federal troops in local matters without the consent of state officials can be legally challenged, as Oregon is currently doing.

Share your knowledge with others to encourage broader public awareness and action. Correct misinformation regarding the reasons for the deployment and the nature of the local protests.
