John Lennon Quote: “I’d rather let my spirit fly free, than be caged by religion. Become a Buddha not a Buddhist; become a Christ not a Christian."

"One implies an awakened state of consciousness, the other a dogmatic approach to life.”God” is too big for one religion. Love & quantum physics are my religion. At one level, all religious traditions have the same aim—to transform the individual into a positive being. I love Jesus, I love Shiva, I love Krishna, I love Buddha. All rivers lead to the same ocean. “I believe in God, but not as one thing, not as an old man in the sky. I believe that what people call God is something in all of us.” ॐ John Lennon

Flying Saucer - Fleeing Earth - Too Violent Cartoon

"Perhaps the most profound question we can ask about intelligent beings is: Are they kind? Are they wise? Are they compassionate? And if they are, how might they view us? Would they see us as fellow travelers, as beings worthy of respect and cooperation? Or would they see us as a primitive species, still grappling with our own destructive tendencies? The answer to these questions may reveal more about us than it does about them."

Stanley Mouse - with the Skull and Roses Poster

Stanley George Miller born October 10, 1940

Stanley Mouse was born in California on October 10, 1940. His father was an animator with Disney Studios who worked on Snow White. Stanley grew up in Detroit where Motown music and the city’s obsession with motor cars combined with his genius at drawing and made Stanleys life path clear at an early age. Quiet and always drawing in class, Stanley earned his pen name, Mouse in the seventh grade. He’d become known for his sketches of monster-driven muscle cars and as soon as he began signing with his pen name, he became instantly famous at thirteen.

Stanley found a niche in the Detroit hot rod culture by detailing extraordinary paint jobs on vehicles until no quality hot rod in town could be seen without a Mouse pin-striping job. Soon after, he began applying his favorite subjects to T-shirts with an airbrush. In the tenth grade, Stanley did some graffiti on the high school hang out and was expelled from high school, the silver lining being that he then enrolled in art school.

Stanley received his formal training at Detroit’s School for the Society of Arts and Crafts which was connected to the Detroit art museum. He dropped out to follow a higher calling to do rock posters in San Francisco during the sixties wartime era of social revolution, political passion and musical innovation. History was made when Stanley met Alton Kelley – they collaborated for over 15 years and changed the course of advertising art forever. Two of their most famous images, one featuring ZigZag cigarette rolling papers and another, the Grateful Dead skeleton and roses motif, became symbols of a generation. Kelley and Mouse were innovators of the most important art movement of the latter part of the twentieth century. They captured the passion and excitement of the times with their distinctive styles. In 1970 Stanley returned to Detroit and was given a one man show at the Detroit Institute of Art.

In the late sixties Stanley moved from San Francisco to London to flame Eric Claptons Rolls Royce. From there he did art for Blind Faith and the Beatles and returned to America to work on the signage at Woodstock with Kelley. Kelley and Mouse were working on a Jimi Hendrix cover but Jimi died before it was released. That art morphed into several covers for Journey, including Infinity, Escape and Captured.

Stanley designed with Art Nouveau elegance and American pop-art sensibilities. He produced posters for the Fillmore Auditorium and the Avalon Ballroom. The art promoting the San Francisco scene became instant collectibles and went far beyond the local scene to reach museums worldwide. Art and music came together in images associated with the The Family Dog, Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Steve Miller. Then on to Jimi Hendrix, Journey, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles and Blind Faith. In all, Mouse and Kelley did the first eight album covers for the Grateful Dead, including the delightful Ice Cream Kid/Rainbow Foot cover of their Europe 72 live album. The cover art for Steve Millers album Book of Dreams won a Grammy Award in 1977.
Stanley’s artwork is included in private and public collections including the Oakland Museum and The Hermitage. Bonham’s of London conducted an auction where Stanley’s artwork was incredibly well received in 1998. In a local ceremony, Stanley was honored and named as the Sonoma Art Treasure in 1994.
Stanley went on to explore fine art and took up classical art forms and oil painting. His landscapes and figurative works express the more subtle and finer aspects of life and round out his body of work with depth and beauty.
Today some old friends have returned to Mouse’s palette: rock and roll and hot rod art and monsters. A significant revival of interest in hot rods and a new subculture is springing up around the aesthetic of the hot rod genre. Stanley Mouse is a revered elder in that tribe, lately contributing to the movement with new and classic monsters and rat-rod art.
A recent show at the Marin Museum of Art featuring Stanley’s work in full-circle format made clear the scope and genius of his art. The hot rods, monsters, rock icons and lush oil paintings stand united by way of the artists creative journey and tell tales of American culture through the decades. The visual repertoire of our collective experience has been made rich and beautiful through Stanley’s art.

CRIME IS LEGAL FOR REPUBLICANS. Obviously Guilty: Texas Attorney General Paxton. But He was Acquitted! That's INSANE!

Impeached Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton was acquitted on 16 impeachment articles on Saturday, thwarting an effort to remove him from office over allegations of corruption.
His acquittal follows a two-week trial and a day of deliberations. Paxton was impeached in the Republican-controlled Texas House of Representatives in May by an overwhelming vote.

The MAGA Republicans are desperate. They tried for years to tie Joe Biden to his son's business dealings and found nothing. It's all a distraction from the indictments against the Trump mob, all led by Trump himself!

In all my years I’ve never witnessed a more corrupt Republican Party. So much hate and revenge. Horrible example for our country and they will be known as the worst group ever. Making fools of themselves. Vote Blue all the way. We must make a statement because our democracy depends on it. This is where we make America great again. 💙🇺🇸

They are just trying to take trump out of the news. But next the republicans who yells to take money away from the DOJ. That will include Hunter’s case too. It has been awhile since I last heard about taking money for the DOJ because the repubs wanted to make it hard for the DOJ to take action on trump.

There should always be concern for those we include in our associations, That was one of the primary methods used by the FBI in their COINTELPRO operations to destroy the American Indian Movement *AIM* and the Black Panther Party for Self Defense in the 1960s & 1970s. But one of the ways that agent provocateur technique functions is not only to instigate ineffective actions, but, and this is primary in the method, to cause the members of the organization to question the effective operatives within their organization. The only effective method I know of to combat either destructive function is to take something of a *wait & see* stance where we judge the individual and his/her actions by the fruit they bear.
I guess that idea just slapped them in the face.
Hakeem Jeffries will hopefully sing the same song.

Woke Meme

Republicans still try to ignore the fact that Trump is quite guilty; it is as frustrating as can be!
He is ON TAPE saying Raffensperger might be prosecuted if he did not help find some more trump votes. That is so clearly using an illegal form of extortion to solicit a criminal behavior!
Donnie boy then set up FAKE DELEGATES!!
He is an orange toxic scum on a stinking swamp! He needs to go to prison!!
Otherwise it's SO completely insane and absurd!

Trump is actually threatening violence over a poll that voters said he’s not mentally fit to be president. Here should be enough to put a gag order on trump. He’s signaling his supporters to go after the Wall Street journal for reporting the poll and Biden. Who knows why he put Biden in there. Anyone with a brain can see he’s a dangerous unstable corrupt conman
“challenge” to Murdoch, Murdoch’s sons, Biden, and various Wall Street Journal brass—the terms of which Trump stipulated in a second post, writing: “I will name the place and the test, and it will be a tough one. Nobody will come even close to me! We can also throw some physical activity into it. I just won the Senior Club Championship at a big golf club, with many very good players. To do so you need strength, accuracy, touch and, above all, mental toughness. Ask Bret Baier (Fox), a very good golfer.”

GOP is EVIL meme

The weight of the baggage we carry will be defined by how much we allow to move through us. When Don Miguel Ruiz said, "Don't take anything personally" in his book, "The Four Agreements", he understood. We are collectors of so much that does not serve us. The comments, slights or judgments of others are carried with us reverberating in places that need not matter. As I have often said, "Do not be baited by someone else's mind".

When we first see this photo, we might immediately focus on what is missing. Perhaps perceiving that he is not a whole person. However, I noticed what was present in him. The ability to allow the flow of our life to move through us can lighten our spirit. Like clouds moving effortlessly through the sky of our heart, we can release the stories which no longer matter. Zen Master Seungsahn came into the meditation hall telling us, "Only keep don't know mind". When we empty ourselves of the accumulated story of who we think we are, we are empowered to be whoever we chose in any moment. Ram Dass powerfully and poignantly shares these truths in the film "Becoming Nobody".

I did not know there was a photographer, father or writer in me. Most importantly, I did not cling to the belief that there wasn't. When we allow the definitions of ourselves to move through us, we open the door to our freedom. Naturally, we take comfort in the security of who we have been. I am not advocating amnesia. We are talking about birthing whatever arises as most authentic. When we allow the shadows of the past to be released, we can steep in the light of our creative energy.

What is the baggage you still carry? Can you place it down? It is ok to say goodbye to that which no longer aligns with our truth. In the end, all bags will be checked at the door. As we open to our evolving self, we ignite our possibilities. Perhaps we retrieve the flame of what once sparked our soul. Do not allow yours to be blown out by resignation. Let the story that you cannot be this or that transform into how you will.

Have you ever given any thought to all the knowledge you will never directly know for yourself? So much of the knowledge we possess is made available to us, like for example: the theory of Gravity. We know there is a theory, but how many of us can do the maths? Or, how fast is the speed of light? 186,000MPS. (A very old memory). But have we done the work to know for our selves?
I wonder how often this kind of "off the peg" knowledge is taken for granted, and how often the fact that we just don't have time or perhaps the ability to work out or research everything for ourselves is taken advantage of by politicians and advertisers?
Just a thought.
GOP Man Yells at Rainbow - Simpsons Cartoon

This is a new low in House Republicans’ failure to govern. Instead of doing anything to address rising housing costs, raise the minimum wage, tackle child poverty or address the opioid crisis, Republicans have threatened to the plunge the nation into default and are now once again pushing the government to the brink of a shutdown. It’s no wonder this Congress has been the least productive in decades.
Their only goal, it seems, is pleasing their master—the disgraced, twice impeached, four times indicted former President currently facing 91 state and federal criminal charges. This is an unprecedented crime spree, from endangering national security by illegally keeping classified documents, to conspiring to subvert the U.S. Constitution and lying to federal investigators.
Instead of even attempting to govern, Speaker Kevin McCarthy and Republicans have done everything in their power to run interference for the disgraced former President. They have turned the United States House of Representatives into a vindictive political campaign arm of Donald Trump.
Now Donald Trump and the most extreme members of the MAGA Caucus are pushing a government shutdown if they don’t impeach the sitting President—despite zero evidence to justify such an inquiry. Republicans have already wasted months on a fishing expedition to tie President Biden to the wrongdoing of his adult son, and it has failed. Despite thousands of pages of bank records and hours and hours of testimony, they have failed to produce a shred of evidence of any wrongdoing by President Biden.
And the hypocrisy almost takes your breath away. Kevin McCarthy has repeatedly said you cannot start an impeachment inquiry without a full vote of the House—and even introduced a resolution that condemns an impeachment inquiry without a House vote as an ‘abuse of power’ that ‘brings discredit to the House’ and ‘undermines the voting privileges afforded to each Member and the constituents they represent.’ Yet that is exactly what Kevin McCarthy is doing today. Why? Because he knows impeachment is too extreme to pass the House—even with the Republican majority.
Last Congress, the majority of House Republicans voted to overturn the Presidential election results—supporting the violent insurrectionists who threatened our lives and democracy itself. Now they are disgracing this institution once more, abusing the power vested in us by the Constitution to campaign for a criminal.

SAUDI CROWN PRINCE BOASTED THAT JARED KUSHNER WAS “IN HIS POCKET”

Kushner has been the subject of Democratic scrutiny since a firm formed by Kushner received a $2 billion investment from the Saudi government shortly after he left the White House. The Saudi funds have raised questions as to whether Kushner's personal finance interests influenced foreign policy while he served as a senior adviser in the Trump White House.

Report: Jared Kushner’s $2 Billion Saudi Check Appears Even More Comically Corrupt Than Previously Thought.

Jared Kushner Ivanka Saudi Arabian Corruption Photo

Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner secured a $2 billion investment in July 2021 from a fund led by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, despite objections from the fund’s advisors.
Part of Kushner and Trump’s motivation to support Mohammed bin Salman was Saudi Arabia’s proposed purchase of $110 billion in arms from the US.
Amid Trump’s visit to Riyadh in May 2017, Kushner pushed officials in the State and Defense Department officials to inflate the amount of the deal with suspect transactions. “We need to sell them as much as possible,” Trump’s son-in-law told a National Security Council Meeting.
The Saudi purchase of some high-price items, such as the $15 billion THAAD anti-missile system, was not confirmed until the end of November 2018 — after Kushner and Trump’s defense of Mohammed bin Salman over Khashoggi’s murder.
The Saudi fund also agreed to a $1 billion investment in the firm of Trump’s Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, Liberty Strategic Capital.
