Response from Steve in Chico:

Can't do the chords nor do I give a shit about them . . .  Can't sing a bit either, would scare you if I tried , ,
Love the ___ lines or the --- lines or even the  . . . lines.  Use them all the time.
Munch called them Thought lines.
Works for me  . . .
ALL true . . .
You gotta do SOMETHING . . .
 . . . and it looks like you are doin' ___SOMETHING . . .
Enjoying the time off . . .
Kicking back at home, more vacation  still waitin' for the Great American Novel.
To come to mind . . .  taking it real easy I guess . . .
Lots of name calling,  politics, anger, and negativity . . .
That just says who you are.
I choose, Mother Teresa,
My personal hero, Gandhi,
Copernicus, CARL Sagan, Einstein,  John Muir, should I go ON?
Sing praises to them, they are the ones that deserve it.
IT'S Fucking worked so far so get over it and work together instead of against all your brothers and sisters in this world.
Your attitude is simply old fashioned just like all those other GREAT men were.  Time to MOVE ON and give up the revolutionary attitude.
Time to just share, there is enough for all.  Why don't you get that my brother.

Steve

The Scream is Munch's most famous work, and one of the most recognizable paintings in all art. It has been widely interpreted as representing the universal anxiety of modern man.[48] Painted with broad bands of garish color and highly simplified forms, and employing a high viewpoint, it reduces the agonized figure to a garbed skull in the throes of an emotional crisis.

With this painting, Munch met his stated goal of "the study of the soul, that is to say the study of my own self".[50] Munch wrote of how the painting came to be: "I was walking down the road with two friends when the sun set; suddenly, the sky turned as red as blood. I stopped and leaned against the fence, feeling unspeakably tired. Tongues of fire and blood stretched over the bluish black fjord. My friends went on walking, while I lagged behind, shivering with fear. Then I heard the enormous, infinite scream of nature."[51] He later described the personal anguish behind the painting, "for several years I was almost mad… You know my picture, 'The Scream?' I was stretched to the limit—nature was screaming in my blood… After that I gave up hope ever of being able to love again."[52]

The Best Part of the song "Iko Iko" is that it's Possible to Play it using TWO Chords! For Example "A" and "E" and You Can Make Up Lyrics If You forget Where You Are and What You Are Doing! I remember Playing this at Main Circle, Rainbow Gathering in Idaho.

and then Later, a young man and I Played Uncle John's Band at the Relaxation Station... That's The Very First Place a Camper would encounter on the way into the Rainbow Gathering... "Welcome Home!" We Played it about 6 times... because the Young Man said "I Don't Want to Learn anymore new songs" and since there was a Constant flow of People walking by... No One Knew That we were Playing the same song... except for the Tarot Card Reading Lady and other Pranksters That were Hanging OUT... One Guy had a Piece of FOAM that Looked Like a Concrete Block... He would ask a person to help him Carry the Block Because it was very heavy... and then ACCIDENTALLY DROP THE PIECE OF FOAM on the Visitor's FOOT... and then everyone would laugh because it was NOT Dangerous... It Was a Prank! The Realization That They Were Not Going To Be Hurt... and The relief... Caused Laughter...

I like the fact that some lyrics are Sung over Very Discordant Chords and Others are Very Consonant. Like, Good Ideas are Consonant and Bad Ideas are Discordant...

I Heard The Chant in the Sixties: Originally it was: "Hey, Hey, LBJ, How Many Kids Did You Kill Today?"

I Intentionally Misquoted the NRA Slogan: "Guns Don't Kill People, Bullets Kill People"

Music Video: "I'm a Vidiot" Composed and Sung by Me... Written for a Friend's Son who REALLY Loved to Play Video Games...

Youtube Video:  https://youtu.be/GY8CmLL5vwU

LYRICS:
I'm a vidiot, I stay plugged in all day (A,D,E)
I'm a vidiot, All I do is play (A,D,E)
I'm a vidiot, if you don't like my game (A,D,E)
You can goto hell 'cause I'm playing again (E)

Once upon a time I used to do things (A,A*,E) A*=E0, A0, D2, G2, B3, e0
-but no longer- (spoken words)
I used to go out and play with other kids (A,A*,E)
-that was years ago- (spoken words)
Now I stay indoors and drool at the TV set (A,A*,E)
-that's right- (spoken words)
I can't wait for 3D,it will be the greatest yet ! (A,A*,E)

I'm a vidiot, it's the only way
I'm a vidiot, I've got that brain decay
I'm a vidiot, hey mister gimme a quarter
So I can go down to the video parlor

When Dad was a kid he was into wholesome things
-like drugs- (spoken words)
But kids today are not that spaced out kind
-well, maybe just a little- (spoken words)
We just grab a joystick in our grubby little mitts
And fiddle with the knobs till we go blind

I'm a vidiot, everyone says I'm sick
I'm a vidiot, give me a joystick
I'm a vidiot, I'll show you my stuff
I'll make Donkey Dong look like a cream puff

Mom got me one of those plug in TV thingees
-well, FINALLY- (spoken words)
Hoping I'd stop bugging her for quarters
-NO WAY !- (spoken words)
Now that I've got 6 billion and a half cartridges
-one for every person on earth...plus three- (spoken words)
I GOTTA GET ONE MORE, 'CAUSE THEY CAME OUT WITH DONKEY KONG THE 17TH ! WHEE!

I'm a vidiot, my thumb's getting sore
I'm a vidiot, I want more, more, more
I'm a vidiot, if I play one more game
maybe I'll do the ultimate...

BREAK THE MACHINE !!!

Chords and Lyrics: "Tomorrow Never Knows" by the Beatles...

Tomorrow Never Knows...
C
Turn off your mind relax and float downstream

          Bb               C
It is not dying  It is not dying

Lay down all thoughts, surrender to the void

      Bb             C
It is shining  It is shining

That you may see the meaning of within

      Bb           C
It is being  It is being

That love is all and love is everyone

      Bb            C
It is knowing  It is knowing

That ignorance and haste may mourn the dead

      Bb               C
It is believing  It is believing

But listen to the colour of your dream

          Bb                C
It is not living  It is not living

Or play the game of existence to the end

       Bb                C                 Bb                C
Of the beginning  Of the beginning  Of the beginning  Of the beginning

          (The end)

We used to go to the School Library in Chico to use the internet. We had fun if there was an unused terminal...

I watched the students working together in groups of five on one terminal... I wished that I was a college student studying computer science like they were... Then, years later my dream came true at Humboldt State University...

We used the site Michael's Cosmic Kitchen for song lyrics and chords... He had a lot of classic rock songs. We also used OLGA which was an ancient guitar sharing service from pre internet days... like "The Well" or "Prodigy". OLGA is an acronym that stands for On Line Guitar Archive. People would submit lyrics and chords in text-only form to a users group... The results of that Usenet News group was uploaded to a web page by archivists. I also used the college's Photoshop program to do abstract art..
It was an era when we had intermittent connection using AOL disks. We would use their free trial, end service and then they would send us another free trial... It was a game we played for about a year... using free trials, disconnecting and then being given another chance...

G                                        D
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot
       G              A              D
With a pink hotel, a boutique and a swingin' hot spot

[Chorus 1]
D               A
Don't it always seem to go
          G                                   D

They paved paradise and put up a parking lot

They took all the trees, put 'em in a tree museum
         G                    A                         D
And they charged the people a dollar and a half just to see 'em

[Chorus 2]
D               A
Don't it always seem to go
          G                                   D

Give me spots on my apples but leave me the birds and the bees
D

[Chorus 3]
D               A
Don't it always seem to go
          G                                   D

They paved paradise and put up a parking lot

And a big yellow taxi took away my old man

[Chorus 4]
D               A
Don't it always seem to go
          G                                   D
