Valentin Broeksmit supplied investigators with hundreds of documents about Trump's relationship with Deutsche Bank.

Broeksmit's father was an executive at Deutsche Bank before taking his own life. Following his father's death, Broeksmit acquired access to father's email account, which contained hundreds of confidential bank documents, according to The New York Times. Broeksmit reportedly supplied these documents to federal investigators as well as journalists who sought to further understand the connections between Trump and Deutsche Bank, one of the former president's biggest lenders. Broeksmit's documents reportedly gave investigators access to materials "only people within the inner circle of Deutsche would ever see."

The death of a whistleblower who worked with federal authorities investigating Deutsche Bank has once again brought into focus the spate of suicide deaths linked to the financial institution.

Valentin Broeksmit, 45, was pronounced dead Monday morning

after his body was found on the Woodrow Wilson High school

campus off the 4500 block of Multnomah Street in Los Angeles.

In 2019, Broeksmit was reported to have handed over hundreds

of documents to the FBI while they were investigating ties

between Deutsche Bank and former president Donald Trump.

After his father's death, Broeksmit gained access to his father's email account and found hundreds of files related to the bank, including board meeting minutes, financial plans, spreadsheets and password-protected presentations, the newspaper reported.

Federal and state authorities were scrutinizing allegations of criminal misconduct and the bank's long relationship with former President Donald Trump, the newspaper reported.

According to The Times, Broeksmit supplied the documents to journalists and others, including Fusion GPS, the research firm linked to The Steele dossier about Trump, and investigators with the FBI's New York office.

Authorities Friday said no foul play is suspected in the death of Valentin Broeksmit, a man believed to have worked with federal authorities to investigate the activities of Deutsche Bank and its ties with former President Donald Trump.
A cleaning crew found Broeksmit, 45, self-described as a "comically terrible spy," around 6:40 a.m Monday on the Woodrow Wilson High school campus in El Sereno.
Officials have yet to release a cause of death pending an autopsy.
Officers say they responded to the campus on a "death investigation" call. School police said there was no video footage of Broeksmit arriving at the campus and they were unsure how long he'd been there.
"Upon arrival, the officers were directed by school staff to the location of the man, who was later identified as Valentin Broeksmit," police said in a statement released on Friday.

LAPD: On April 25, 2022, around 7:00 a.m., Los Angeles Police Department Hollenbeck Area police officers responded to a radio call of a “Death Investigation,” at a high school in the 4500 block of Multnomah Street. Upon arrival, the officers were directed by school staff to the location of the man, who was later identified as Valentin Broeksmit. Broeksmit was found lying on the ground in a courtyard of the school. Los Angeles City Fire Department Paramedics, who had also responded to the location, attempted to render medical aid; however, Broeksmit did not respond to those attempts and was pronounced deceased at scene.

At the time of the officer’s investigation, there did not appear to be any indication of trauma to Broeksmit’s body and his remains were released to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office. Detectives from the LAPD’s Central Bureau Homicide (CBH) were notified of the officer’s investigation. Detectives responded to conduct a follow-up investigation and interview potential witnesses. This investigation is still on-going; however, no foul play is suspected at this time and based on the investigation, it appeared that Broeksmit was alone on the grounds of the school most of the weekend preceding his death.

The manner of Broeksmit’s death is pending a review of the investigation, along with the Coroner’s examination and toxicology results.

"That would be like speaking Aramaic to Trump through a pillow; even if he tried very hard to pay attention, which he didn't, he wouldn't be able to understand what the hell he was hearing."

The plaintiffs allege that these groups were involved in a prolonged effort to blockade North Dakota State Highway 1806 to opponents of the controversial oil pipeline during the most heated protests from late October 2016 through early 2017.

The plaintiffs were Cissy Thunderhawk, Waste'Win Young, and Rev. John Floberg. They filed their lawsuit against Morton County, North Dakota, and its sheriff Kyle Kirchmeier, as well as the current and former North Dakota Governors, Doug Burgum and Jack Dalrymple, respectively, and the private security firm Tigerswan.
