It's Best to Type it Up before I forget it... For Certain, I would have tried to help any Lost Old Man but It seems Important that I Offered Ram Dass Help in my dream. Three years ago today beloved Ram Dass transitioned out of his body.

Sending love to the great teacher who has had such a profoundly positive impact on the spiritual lives of so many including Allyson and I. Truly grateful I was given the opportunity to paint a portrait of Ram Dass, and that he got to advise me on certain parts. Behind and in the halo of the central portrait is Maharaji, Neem Karoli Baba, pulling the lightstrings, passing them through the heart of Ram Dass out through Hanuman's chest to serve the world. One of the blessings Ram Dass brought to the world was he helped to found “Seva,” an organization helping cure blindness in Asia, the eyes in the sky of my painting refer to that organization. The Ram Dass community continues to share his wisdom, now that he has joined the other masters in the spiritual sky. Dr Larry Brilliant and Wavy Gravy

There is a really great book that is called Sometimes Brilliant by Larry Brilliant, M.D. and a lot of it is about his dear friend Wavy Gravy, formerly and sometimes known as Hugh Romney. Dr. Brilliant grew up in the Detroit area and he was helping concert venues with medical practice after he graduated from medical school. Among the miraculous events he describes are how he became involved in a project that eradicated small pox. He was initiated into the Merry Pranksters, although Wavy Gravy asked Ken Kesey to take it easy on him because he was "new." They were focused on trying to do the most good, and had some difficult lessons. There were the monkeys who threw shit all over him and his wife just before he met the Dalai Lama. I wonder what people would have said if it hadn't been mentioned in the news that those 6 Dr. Seuss books contained racist imagery. What if the story had simply said, "The Dr. Seuss estate has decided to stop publication of 6 lesser-known Seuss books for financial reasons"? I bet there would be no screaming at "the left" for "canceling" Dr. Seuss if that had been the way the story was presented. But because it was mentioned that those 6 books contained racist imagery, the right jumped on the bandwagon and started spreading lies that "the left" has demanded that all of Dr. Seuss's books be pulled from shelves, and it simply isn't true! None of it! But if the racist imagery had never been mentioned, I bet the right would not have even noticed that 6 lesser-known Seuss books are no longer being published.
Why are people so determined to blame the liberals for things which liberals had nothing to do with? I get that people absolutely DESPISE liberals and want to make the rest of the world view liberals as bad people. But come on. When private companies make a decision to change the marketing of a toy or to stop showing an 80-year-old cartoon, it's ridiculous to try to place the blame on people who had absolutely nothing to do with those decisions. If you're so upset about Pepe Le Pew, contact Warner Brothers! March around in front of their corporate offices with signs! Same with Mr. Potatohead. Why not stage a demonstration in front of Hasbro's corporate offices instead of turning your anger at "the liberals" who had no part in Hasbro's decision? But blaming half the population for something which they had nothing to do with is pointless. All it does is further divide us as a country. Why does the right want to blame the left for everything? Turn your anger at the people who made those decisions! Stop being angry at the wrong people!
