Justice Department investigating Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke. So THAT'S Why they tried to replace the Inspector General.

The Justice Department is investigating Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke for possibly using his office for personal gain, following a referral from Interior's inspector general, two sources familiar with the investigation say.

Referring a probe to the Justice Department means it will explore whether evidence warrants a criminal investigation. Mary Kendall, the acting inspector general of the Interior Department, is conducting at least three probes into Zinke’s conduct, but it was not clear which probe had been sent to the Justice Department, the Washington Post said.

Questions were raised after a report that a Trump political appointee was about to replace the watchdog investigating Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke.

Secretary of Interior Zinke is Opposed to Protecting Land and in Favor of Corporate Profits. He Reduced the size of National Monuments in order to Enable Logging, Oil Drilling and Mining.

Secretary Zinke decided the Department of Interior should do away with a policy called “compensatory mitigation.” It was introduced to act as a give and take between extraction industries and environmentalists by asking companies to offset damage in one spot by funding conservation in another. For example, if a company wanted to expand its operation on public lands in one area where unavoidable damage to a stream was likely, the company might back a wetland restoration project in another area.

Zinke's announcement came just a few days after the Trump administration said it wants to overhaul the Endangered Species Act (primarily to make it easier for companies to work in protected habitats), and environmentalists saw this as another move to hack away at protections in favor of industry.

Law360 (April 13, 2018, 11:53 AM EDT) -- From early March 2018, news outlets have reported the existence of a suspicious activity report linked to the president's "personal lawyer," Michael Cohen.[1] On March 5, The Hill, describing a Wall Street Journal story of the same day, reported that Cohen’s “$130,000 wire payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels shortly before the 2016 election was flagged as suspicious” by First Republic Bank and “reported to the Treasury Department."[2]

I kinda wish we had a Secretary of State but... does there need to be a State Department at all? What do they REALLY DO?

I remember Henry Kissinger had peace talks with North Vietnam... That was useful.

Since then, the State Department has had no actual TASKS or VALUE. Trump has laid off 300 senior employees without any problem... Trump Fired Rex Tillerson... So we DO NOT HAVE ANYONE as Secretary of State at this time... and SO WHAT!

Trump says EPA chief Scott Pruitt has received Death Threats. That makes me ask some VERY TROUBLING QUESTIONS...

For Example: What if you invented a Time Machine and could travel to Austria in 1900, would you shoot Adolph Hitler as a child? Do the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one?

Yes, Scott Pruitt is causing damage to the USA by repealing Clean Air Laws and Clean Water Laws... and Yes, others in the Cursed Trump Administration want to repeal the Endangered Species Act... and Yes, Ryan Zinke wants to allow drilling for oil off the coasts... and in National Monuments...

BUT!

Do they deserve to die?

Why not Psychic Re-Grooving? Wouldn't THAT be a better solution? Simply take them camping and let them eat peyote and dance all night around a fire while people play the drums? That would re-groove their bad attitudes... They would learn to LOVE animals and plants...

We would have an Environmental Protection Agency instead of an Enable Polluters Agency...

Trump cuts 300 jobs at State Department without any loss of productivity. Were these jobs that had no actual work assigned to them?

At every Agency of the Federal Government many jobs were simply not filled. During the Obama Administration there were people employed to sit at desks... Now those desks are empty and yet the country seems to be moving along just fine... GO Figure...

We reduced the staff in Moscow by 755 people. Some of there jobs had tasks assigned to them like drivers, maids, gardeners etc. BUT... many of these Diplomats seemingly did no work... After all, we still have some kind of relationship with Russia but now the remaining 415 employees are handling the work... What do they do all day? Fold up paper airplanes and fly them around the office? Look at the clock and watch for the hours to pass?

Maybe this is an opportunity to get hired? While the high level jobs are intentionally left unfilled, there are probably jobs open that career Federal workers have authority to make hiring decisions. Those people like to have many employees working for them as it gives them Status in the department... A person with 100 employees working under them is more important than one that only has 50... The USA would receive a fortune in VOLUNTARY Taxes. If you don't smoke you wouldn't pay a cent. We could also cut Taxpayer expenses currently wasted on Incarceration and Law Enforcement. It's a Win-Win situation. More money going into the Treasury and Less going out. In addition, states that have legal medical marijuana have fewer deaths due to opioid addiction. Some people simply choose the safer drug... DUH...
