The Mission was to capture Osama bin Laden. Of course, he is dead now and there IS NO REASON for the US Military to continue this pointless war. EXCEPT for the fact that we are protecting the Opium Crop... Harvest has increased yield since we invaded. Opioid deaths have increased in the USA... That's Cause and Effect... We help grow the plants and our own people die. WHY?
The terrain of Afghanistan is a lot like Colorado and most of the fighting happened in a roadless area.
That's why the soldiers hired horses owned by the locals to travel to the battles. Sadly, the US Military did not train the soldiers how to ride a horse... oops... AND the saddles were designed for riders that were much shorter... double oops... It's as if the US Military had no clue as to where they were going...
