Carlos Castaneda and Don Juan

Carlos Casteneda wrote a series of Anthropology Books documenting the teachings of a Yaqui Brujo, Don Juan Mateus. Starting in the 1970's it tells of adventures in the deserts and mountains of Mexico eating Peyote and smoking Jimson weed with psilocibin mushrooms. Required reading for Cultural Anthropology Class at Chico State College... EATING WAS OPTIONAL...

Quickly, Carlos learned to go beyond the "little smoke" and experienced events that are totally unexplainable... People flying to the tops of Eucalyptus trees pulled up by glowing tendrils of light attached to luminous eggs that encircle their bodies... Eventually the teachers Don Juan and Don Genaro exit the world by jumping off a cliff... but their bodies were not found at the bottom. They simply dissapeared... It became Carlos's task to lead a team of 8 apprentices in their study of Toltec sorcery.

Seeing the world in a different state of mind... Carlos wrote of "seeing" people as luminous eggs...
The world we know is referred to as the "Tonal"
everything else is known as the "Nagual"
The Nagual appeared as a giant moth... An Ally...
